Hey Sid, dare you to try and reach out to their office in Australia… Level 4, 220 Queen street (Australian address they listed) doesn’t exist… 4/220 Queen street is residential property about 100kms from where they’re trying to say they are (different city, suburb and post code). I’m from the area, I’ve never heard of these idiots until these videos popped up. Happy to be proven wrong but I go past that area like once a week for the last 4 years and unless they added a building I never noticed, that’s sketchy as hell :P

That’s not all that unusual, at least under US law. If you sign a contract (or agree to ToS), it’s pretty much a field day as far as what can be in there. You can 100% agree to arbitration within a particular place, or to be under the laws of a particular jurisdiction (a lot of US companies ToS establishes the use of Delaware law, for ex). I don’t know that to be the case in Australia, but I could see it being that way.

They did a really good job putting in terms and conditions that completely make it okay for them to steal everyones money and no one is allowed to complain. Think about how many MLM companies are alive today and still surviving, despite doing shady things? Herbalife, Mary K, etc etc. They have found legal ways to stay alive. I think they will take the money and shut down the company and no one will be able to find them. It happened with BitConnect.
@obsidiansands
@obsidiansands 3 жыл бұрын
@@notatrollll Which is why people should start sending the info to the FTC, IRS, FBI, etc. ASAP. If I recall correctly, Europe also has tougher laws when it comes to privacy violations - most of the information they are asking for from their customers has all the earmarks of what Identity Thieves usually go after. In fact, it's EXACTLY the kind of information they would go after. Regardless of the "murky" legality, anyone with actual common sense would take one look at the requirements they're asking for and find it VERY suspicious for an alleged "gaming" site/app to ask for so much of your personal info. Anyone with common sense would start collecting and sending information to relevant investigative branches to take a good look at these guys pronto. A few of us may or may not have already done so. All it takes is a few people that they may or may not have fucked over to start something going. Here in the US, there are tip lines both online via websites and via phone to report such suspected chicanery. Good luck to them if they start going after Sid - I'm kinda hoping they're stupid enough to do so. I'm sure he can get competent people to help him build a legit case against them - the fact that he's willing to do so if such a thing happens is telling - especially if other YT-bers start giving corroborating evidence backing him up.

On the other hand I’m definitely trying to draw attention to a dirty developer on my own channel that isn’t making games but instead of ripping off other developers and animators. They rip animations out of games and piece them out as animation Packs. I dont understand why anyone would buy stuff in this 'game' (i use that term lightly). The only thing the developers have worked on and seem to care about is trading of land. They briefly mention 'ready player one' as an inspirational goal but neglect to mention anywhere at all actual game features. Who wants to own land and build structures in a 'game' that has no player presence, ai, task system, objectives or other gameplay elements. How do they plan on hosting and controlling an entire virtual planet of players in realtime? The entire thing screams of scam

I dont get why KZfaq is getting involved with defamation complaints. Copyright makes a certain amount of sense, but defamation? I doubt a content host site like KZfaq could be sued for defamation done by its users the same way they could for copyright.
@Greywander87
@Greywander87 3 жыл бұрын
On the contrary, the very fact that they're blocking content seems like it would make them a publisher, not a platform. This would endanger their safe harbor protections and put them at risk of being sued themselves. Basically, _because_ they block some videos due to defamation claims, they could potentially be sued for defamation from videos they haven't blocked yet. Please, _someone_ sue KZfaq and these other social media platforms, and use their censorship as an argument against them having safe harbor protections.

@@Greywander87 Im...not getting your argument. Defamation and censorship are two very different things.
@Greywander87
@Greywander87 3 жыл бұрын
@@Daedhart It's not an argument. The entire reason for the safe harbor protections is the website _isn't_ choosing which user posts stay up or get taken down. The liability for a particular post thus falls on the user who posted it, not the website it was posted on. If a website starts taking down some posts while leaving others up, then it's a tacit admission of liability for whatever posts they choose not to take down. At that point, they're no different from something like a news website that pays people to post content, and has the final say over what goes up and what gets taken down. If the website can control what goes up and what comes down, then they're no longer eligible for safe harbor. As for censorship vs. defamation, the difference is that you can sue for defamation, which is why safe harbor matters. However, censorship is _also_ the website taking control over what content can exist on their website, and thus also endangers their safe harbor protections. Also, it's still censorship if a website takes down content on a mere claim of defamation even when there is no defamation present. TL;DR, there is literally no reason for KZfaq or anyone else to take down user content on a claim of defamation. If there's a legit case for defamation, then it's up to the person being defamed to sue the person who posted the defamatory content. KZfaq should not get involved except to follow any court orders that result from a trial, e.g. removing content that has been found defamatory in a court of law. If KZfaq _does_ get involved and proactively removes content, then it's a tacit admission of liability for any content that remains up, and they are then opening themselves up to be sued as well.

*I want this to be abundantly clear: the two that came from the D.R.O.N.E game are no longer working with that team* . Following the comment that the 'devs came from D.R.O.N.E' (update: which where actually co-founders); the development team has been actively posting updates on their discord and in their post from 01/28/21 they mention that both of the said -devs- co-founders are no longer working with the team: "There's been silence for a long time because things were unclear. Nathaniel and Ferran have decided to follow a different career path with another company. We're all saddened to part ways, but we respect their decision and wish them only the best for the future. We've already started adopting Nathaniel's and Ferran's responsiblities within the company and project, but as you can imagine this is not an easy task and requires time. Of course, Nathaniel and Ferran are assisting us to the best of their abilities with this transition." Which it's assumed this is *apparently* the reason why the game has gone without a *playable update* for months now, clearly the two jumped ship out of no where to join/create this ponzi scheme. As of their last post (05/28/21) they're working on a deal, likely trying to hire extra hands to make up for the unexpected empty space and maybe even fighting a legal battle against the two - but that's entirely conjecture, no one knows for sure what the 'deal' actually is - which is making things more difficult: "We've been looking for options on how to continue developing (in a good, healthy, sustainable way) and at the moment we are focused towards a very promising deal for Drone. While we cannot provide more information at this point, we're looking at a secure future for Drone. The project is still alive and we're not giving up. We miss you." That said, D.R.O.N.E *could* still very well be another early access 'abandonware' game. Only time will tell.

8:51 Wait, hold up, wtf, THIS is where Nathaniel and Ferran went when they left D.R.O.N.E.? I expected something along the lines of them just merging somewhere into the game development ecosystem where income and success would be more stable and reliable, but nope, apparently a blatant freaking scam is what they decided to work with. Don't know how much they have been tricked into doing this or if they just genuinely went "a scam would be a great source of money right about now" but either way, I am utterly baffled to see them here. Also, DRONE is not dead... at least not yet. As you would expect, two people leaving a team of originally five people is quite the heavy hit, but we still have some people left and they are signalling, that they want to make this game happen (the update 8 months ago may have been the latest update to the game itself, but it wasn't the last thing we heard from the devs) within reasonable bounds. We'll see how that goes, I suppose...

So when Part 1 was released, there were at least 3 accounts in the comment section that were theirs. And even advertised for people to join them. Most of the comment section engaged with them saying "Bitconneeeeeeeeect" and so on. I would not be surprised if those little shits will be back for round 2. But one comment does pop up. They gave Sid's investigatory work an F because they failed to look at who the Dev team was. Part 2 covers that. They're nobodies. Shit, I could boot up a 3DS modeller and have more portfolio than all of them combined within a week. And one of those accounts even had the nerve of calling one of their staff a "guru". Someone, who has no accomplisments to their name, a "guru". A "whoru" would be more accurate, as no one in the industry has ever heard about them. Fully knowing marketing jargon, it's easy to understand when someone is leaning onto it far too much, and that's usually a red flag there's something wrong with the product. Here is to hide there is no product. And one thing Sid had wrong. Regading PayPal. It's not that they arent making efforts to use PayPal. According to several comments, they had PayPal before, and then got banned from the platform. As a sidenote, PayPal has a very low tolerance threshold for scams. I'm not saying that's what it was, but it sure looks like it.

Has anyone else noticed that everyone who has had a payout from Earth 2 and has shown their proof, it says “refund,” before the amount they took out? I think this is due to their Legal terms. Specifically relating to the part dealing with Tax, that could be due from any profit made from the sca….”game.” I think some money laundering is also at play here. They also say in their terms of service that any and all info you provide to them, is now their property to do with whatever they want and is NOT CONFIDENTIAL.…..So they can sell any information you give them. Remember…..To take out money, you need to give them all your personal info, including pictures of your passport or drivers licence and bank account details. You give them that personal information and according to their legal terms of service, you’re giving them the rights to that information and they do not treat it as confidential…..Meaning they can sell any of your personal details they want to sell, to anyone. You’d have to be extremely stupid to agree to that.

I don't mind if the Publisher puts a way in it that you can buy stuff with RL Money inGame as long as he puts also a way in it to earn said Stuff also inGam - Take EVE Online as example for it. You can play it completly free if you put inGame enough effort into it. So no harm done - And to be honest, I would've expected for an example SciFi Games to have similar mechanics (You know, buyin' Planets, sellin' them etc) in the near future like Star Citizen for an example. Not really "my kind of game", but I kinda can relate to it. But this game here, it's utterly pointless. I mean, yeah, you buy some Land and even put some assets on it - And then? It's the sad versions of those Lord Titels you can buy - You know, where you buy a squar foot of Land in Scottland and therefore become a "Lord". But by those Lord Titles, the Land which got buyed will get transformed into a national park. You know, for perserving the Wildlife and such.
