Doing the shorter ride was definitely the right thing to do at this stage after the injury, and I bet riding a bike you're happy with, and have confidence in, made the ride more enjoyable too. Heck of a place to ride - fantastic scenery. Well done, great stuff!

Hi Amer, nice talking to you half way up one of the climbs, thanks for the encouragement. Bike damage was a lot less this year (just reindexed gears and cleaned it, last year needed new bb bearings, new rotors and pads. I agree about the calls and hand signals, I don’t know if you have contact with the organisers but it isn’t just racers, most cycle club members know hand signals, calls, looking behind before changing lines or getting out the saddle, but Reiver a;ways seems to have a fair few new people that do not know these things, it would probably be useful to add a section to the riders guide, anyway just a thought, nice vid, I can even see myself in it at one point, infamy, infamy … etc, oh definitely showing my age there 🤣🤣🤣

How was the leg/ ankle during and after the ride, Great to see you out and about, pity about the long drive and the breakdown. Ive not ridden my bike since November after breaking my wrist, waiting for an operation to have a plate removed and a little bit worried about getting back out on the bike

You made the correct decision with you in recovery 👌🏻 can't go wrong with a POC helmet, i have 2... but POC need to restock their website on the Large size helmets 🤬
