A gravel bike trip full of endurance advice

Sally and I ride a 2 day gravel version of the Capital Trail. A multi day endurance bike packing trip from the city of Edinburgh and into the Scottish borders. We adapted the route a bit to better suit our gravel bikes. We set off from the town of Selkirk and traveled off road and over 2000m of ascent to finish in Edinburgh. We stayed in a little Air BnB and enjoyed the restaurants of the town. Day 2 was shortened thanks to storm Kathlean. In this video we share our experience of endurance trips, discuss kit, bikes and nutrition.

That wee rocky path at 2.40 is 5 mins from my doorstep. More suited to a full suspension MTB than a gravel bike. Glad you made it down in 1 piece👍 If I had known you were passing I could have got you to give my gravel bike a once over😁 Cheers✌️

Good work getting down that descent with the wall next to it. I always have to walk bits of it on the gravel bike!

Nothing screams adventure more than 30mph wind and hailing rain blowing in your face 🤣🤣, Ps. I lived here in Edinburgh for 5 years, when the wind is past 20mph thas a no from me for a casual ride.

Oh yes!!!! In the dallas area, storm weeks bring in the spring /summer season .. then it's hell hot and dry forever - then storm weeks bring in the fall season. And it's beautiful and temperate until spring. Honestly - it's a weird weird area.... -and there are so many different climate patterns all over the state because of it's size- it's nuts.love seeing your area and also your channel ...
