NASCAR driver Kyle Busch was asked if there is a strategy to get Martin Truex Jr. in the playoffs and compared the question to the 2013 Michael Waltrip Racing scandal. Door Bumper Clear's Brett Griffin discusses if team orders are allowed and reference the Richmond race when Clint Bowyer questionably spun late. Hear Bowyer's former spotter explain details about what forced NASCAR to drop the penalty hammer on MWR. Then, Brett, TJ Majors, and Freddie Kraft debate if Denny Hamlin would help Truex Jr. or Bubba Wallace win to get into the playoffs at Daytona.

I’m a fan of Bowyer since his 07 Jack Daniels days and huge fan of MTJ as his foundation helped my sister battle ovarian cancer but it’s impossible to deny that was on purpose. It was a cheat that failed. No different than Petty’s oversized engine or crashgate in f1. Clint did better acting in the Mobil 1 commercial than he did at Richmond.

Yeah.. most teams do. But 1. Unlike their competitors, they weren’t skilled at hiding their “creativity”, 2. Politics came into play unfortunately. A lotta folks didn’t like seeing a competitive Japanese auto maker on the circuit. Considering MW’s skills at superspeedway races, there were probably all eyes on that car that weekend tbh, and considering it say front row the next year, it was rightfully so. Had the 55 cleared inspection that day and raced as is without issue, MW very well could’ve been a 3 time Daytona 500 winner. 3. If you ain’t cheatin, you ain’t tryin.

@@doomusrlc Skinner being moved straight from Trucks to Cup was a huge factor into him not being a contender. He never got the seat time in an Xfinity Series car. It's like when Kwasniewski was pulled from the East Series straight to the Xfinity Series. It doesn't matter how good a potential prospect is in the lower series'. Make them climb each rung of the ladder and don't have them skip one. If RCR made Skinner do the Xfinity Series before his rookie Cup season in 1997, Skinner would've done a lot better in a Cup car. That's a problem we have in NASCAR today. Drivers are being rushed up too quickly. The only exception is Josh Berry. Who came from late models straight to the Xfinity Series. Completely skipping the East/West Series, ARCA Menards Series and the Truck Series.

We all know the Brian Vickers audio was the tell tale sign it all was intentional. What makes the Bowyer end of it interesting is what they said to him. “Is your arm starting to hurt? The moment Brett starts to accuse another team of cheating in that race that wasn’t Penske or MWR is when he lost public trust. There is no documented evidence of JJ wrecking on purpose in that race to help JG. He’s defending his driver (Bowyer) for that time frame & he is shifting blame with a driver he had beef with the year before (Gordon).

We started using code words for different things after acouple of his racing buddies admitted that they listened to our radio a couple times and they knew some things we had done. If I ran a team, we would all know WEEKS, YEARS, DECADES ahead of time what we would do in a situation like MWR was in. If I'm in a business meeting and my right hand man is on my right and I want him to answer the question with HIS pre-planned answer, I'll say something like, "Devin, what do you think?". Or, if I want my answer to come out, I'll spout out my answer before he has a chance to answer. I'm in business to lead, not follow..... I control all situations, and THAT is where MWR messed up.... they didn't have a PLAN to take control of every situation that day.
