Yeah...but I think the fact they won a championship.and walked away was okay in my book...as opposed to the things that happened with MWR...Im sure it's something Michael wish didnt happen. A lot of teams have cane and went in the last 10-15 years...I imagine Petty is next....or at least the social media always seems to suggest they are each year...

How about the whole issue with 2007 Daytona 500- and the 'foreign substance' in MW's carb? That was the start of their troubles- suspending crew chief and GM- and $100k fine- 100 owner and driver points- the 55 car had negative points (only time in history) for about 4 months. How could you have missed that one?

What I found ridiculous was that they fined them for Vickers' pitting, there was ABSOLUTELY no rule against it at the time. They fined them anyway. This is why NASCAR has gone down the shitter. They make rules whenever they feel like it to help the drivers they want to help. They were pissed their pretty boy Jeffy wasn't in the Chase, and this was a way to put him back in without opening up another spot. It's BS! Like MWR or not, they did nothing wrong with Vickers pitting to help a team-mate. Other teams had done it a hundred times before. They NEVER got penalized. Just proves they did it to get Jeffy into the Chase.

If it wasn't for there cheating Jeff would have made chase asshole. I am a huge Jeff Gordon fan and nascar made the right call besides mwr sucked . Look what happened they lost napa as sponsor that was a lot of money. If they would have just played by the rules.

NASCAR constantly manipulates rules in an effort to get their golden boys wins and championships. That's the reason I don't watch NASCAR any more. They tried everything in their power to get Dale Jr. into the Chase. Trouble is - no amount of rule changing can get a shitty driver a championship.

If you were to tell me that in 5 years in 2007 that the team that was failing to make races nearly every race and could only make races with Dale Jarrett’s past champions provisional I’d of laughed. Crazy to think that ended up being the case.

Guilty of intentionally manipulating the finish of a race.... I guess the infamous debris on the track flags don't count towards that.... NASCAR could not handle the fact that a team was getting better and better in competing against the prized jewels of the NASCAR world that they love so much and basically put them out of business because of it.... Harry Gant said back in 1994 if NASCAR does not want you to win..... You will not win... I guess this just goes to prove it
