This is a killer Bostaph track, but Lombardo does it serious justice here. The double bass part over the ‘I never said I wanted to be God's disciple’, wow don’t think Bostaph has done it that clean live himself!

Juan Guillermo Vanegas López Yeah but here you can see Lombardo playing this without much struggle, while Bostaph still has some trouble with certain parts of Lombardo's songs (namely, the double bass part in Angel of Death).

i saw anthrax, megadeth, and slayer recently and they were all on another level as metallica. they still have it. slayer is the best live band

Thank Jeff for one of the heaviest riffs ever. Besides the riff in blackened by metallica, the riff in strength beyond strength by pantera, a few sepultura ones and some hatebreed. This is gotta be up there.

I have bigger things to cry about. My dead son was a drummer that loved Sodom, and Slayer. When I see Jeff (I'm a guitarist), I get chocked up and drink. He lived a good life, the way he wanted to life. He started LP, and I have one, then Jackson (I have 2). My one Jack is set up just like Jeff. I'm 45, but I'll get an ESP before I die just to jam like my man. Good post. 4yrs late.

One of my favorite Slayer albums. But it bugs me that Tom has never performed the vocals even remotely close to the studio recording. And this album would've been a whole different beast with Dave behind the kit.

I saw them in 2001, like a week after the album came out. In Cedar Rapids, Iowa, of all places. Tom nailed the vocals on every song. He’s old-school and probably uses less vocal effects than newer bands, so he can’t scream as much at every show.
