The banana soufflé was my holy grail, literally got so sad seeing it literally being gatekept it on their site while still promoting it 😭 It was SOOO light yet really gave me that comfort my skin needed. And the benefits of it was literally so good, it calmed my skin INSTANTLY, hydrated my skin like crazy and my skin had never looked better!!! Also the smell while being more like banana taffy, it was lovely

Clearly I have found my people! The banana soufflé was EVERYTHING. I like the plum as well, but it didn’t give me the warm fuzzies that the banana did. 🥺🥺🥺

I have never tried the banana cream though I wanted to, but from everything Iv'e read from people about it, it sounds similar to how the Inkey List peptide moisturizer makes my skin feel. I have drier skin and that one comforts it so well while seemingly disappearing on my skin. It leaves it so soft and actually moisturized. I have tried many other moisturizers and I just keep going back to that one. You don't need to use a lot, I think it's worth a try plus its affordable. I have gone through so many tubes now. It probably doesn't have the same texture as the banana one but I think the way it works on the skin will be similar.

Its funny how RFLCT was immediately canceled, but some bigger brands sell products with same marketing for 100 + dollars. I thing there is another influencer brand or collab where products claim to have blue light protection from screens, but no one talks about it

it was addison rae and complete true. people just like to jump on the cancellation bandwagon before actually fact checking things especially for influencers. multiple luxury brands have products that claim the same exact thing and no one blinks a eye at them. i honestly thought the amount of backlash she got was so uncalled for.

Ugh Beet Shield, miss it so much! I’ve found several korean sunscreens that I like a lot, but there was just something special about TBS. Hope their reformulated chemical sunscreen can match it!

Agree! Krave TBS was the first time I learned discovered Sunscreen that was like a serum. And it didn’t leave me white or purple cast on my skin. I stocked up, and was devastated when they discontinued. I was trying to buy other’s TBS instead of them refunding it

Your honesty is one of your many superpowers and it makes me really happy to hear that brands like Glow Recipe, The Ordinary, Paula's Choice etc respond to your negative reviews the way you've described. All credit to them! ...and you. I really trust you. Not everything you like works for my skin and some things that you don't like actually do work for my skin, but as we all know, that's just the nature of skin care and people with different chemistry. I started following you when the pandemic started and I've stayed because you are hilarious, smart and trustworthy.

The Banana Souffle cream was my holy grail! I was so bummed when it disappeared because it was the only moisturizer that adequately hydrated & moisturized my dry, dehydrated skin as well as calmed my redness. I'm trying to find something comparable, but it's been a struggle. Any suggestions, from anyone are welcome!

Not all the time, but on occasion, I miss using that "morning burst" face wash from Clean & Clear. Not the feeling of being all dry and flaky, but the smell and the feel of it while using it.

The Clarisonic was and remains the only thing that kept my pores clean, I have 2 of them and I still use brushes for months and months too, just making sure they are sterile. I will never stop using it, the Foreo can't even compare🌊

I gotta be honest, I’m a HARD disagree on the Clarisonic thing. Nothing has ever worked for me the way my Clarisonic did. I LOVED it. It helped so much with my breakouts and texture! It didn’t spin, it oscilated, which a lot of people think didn’t make a difference but I 100% felt like it did. The cheap spinning brushes just don’t feel the same, and the silicone alternatives felt like they did nothing. I’m still so bummed we lost Clarisonic, I was a loyal customer for years.

A lot of people misunderstood the technology at the time, and now even more so. Between the oscillation and the fact that you were meant to glide it across the skin (not scrub!) it was actually very gentle. It also did not “just spin”, it was an ultrasonic cleansing device. They were the first to bring the tech to the mass market and actually patented the frequency they used, which they found the most effective for cleansing through studies. It’s a pretty sophisticated process (iontophoresis and cavitation iirc) so maybe their ultimate downfall was that they were poor science educators. But ultimately Clarisonic did something special, and it did it the best. RIP!

I loved my MIA, and I do feel they were more hygienic because you could take the brush off and deep clean both the brush and the device. I have a foreo now and to clean it is a pain in the ass. Also I don’t feel that my skin is cleaner than with the Clarisonic. Mine stoped working just a few months before Clarisonic was shut down, then Sephora had already stoped working with them and L’oreal in my country never offered any assistance. That is why I bought a Foreo.

I use it maybe once in two months, but I cherish my Clarisonic Mia 2 dearly, mostly for its beautiful graphic (a Keith Hearing limited edition) and the fact that it was my first "big" purchase in skin care.

I bought a silicone exfoliating head that Clairsonic sold for their Mia Smart. I was so mad when they decided to shut down, it was a few months after I had rebought the Mia Smart, since I had accidentally left the Mia Smart in my hotel room and it was quickly taken by someone, as the hotel couldn't find it.

I still use/ love my Clarisonic. I buy off-brand replacement brush heads from Amazon and while they aren't quite as good, they still work better than my hands at giving my skin a deep clean when it's needed.

No idea what happened to this product. But the Black liquid lipstick by Nyx (I think the shade was called Alien) literally just vanished from every drug store I ever set foot in like a few years back. I literally, cannot get over that. It was my favourite black lipstick, that I had easy access to and now it's gone. I know it's probably because most people don't go for black lipstick or whatever. But that doesn't stop me from missing it.

Ironically, I found your channel when searching for GR feedback. Moving forward I stopped using their products because I think they're more focused on "hyped ingredients" and they've gotten rid of everything I loved! The banana moisturizer, pineapple serum, avacado retinol mask I've repurchased so many times it's insane 😂! I got samples of the new stuff and it did nothing for me so they lost me as a customer 😑. I don't like when companies discontinue items with no explanation 😡.

Beet Shield was the best face sunscreen. I never experienced sun burn while wearing it, like I had with other products. I eagerly await a replacement product from Krave.

I love the Glow Recipe Pineapple serum. Only discovered it late last year and was gutted to find it had been discontinued when I went to buy a new bottle. I didn't know the Guava was the brand's replacement so thanks for mentioning it I'm going to give that a try now ❤️

I have slightly sensitive combination skin and have been wanting to improve my skin routine as I approach my later 20s. I will be getting and trying out the Glow Recipe watermelon toner, moisturizer, and clay facial (amongst other skincare products) and am really excited! I still have and use my Clarisonic once or twice a week. I bought 8 brush heads when they announced closure and put them on 2-for-1. I will miss it if/when it dies. It’s a cult classic for a reason! 😊

I couldn't care less if you were sponsored by Glow recipe. Good for you if they reach out again. You turned me on to this brand and I am forever grateful! It is my daytime moisturizing and hydrating skin care, along with CosRX snail snot and Tatcha 's gel cream. I think I will buy some of the plum plump cream. I have the gel but thanks to you, again, I will give the plum plump cream a try. I know I'll love it. My face has no idea that it's drier than the Sahara desert and it's because of you and your skin care suggestions.

I still have and use my Clarisonic, with the soft bristles head, once a week. I thoroughly clean it after every use, and it still does a great job. Can’t wait for Liah to come out with a new sunscreen!

My favorite product that has been discontinued is the NYX Bare With Me bb cream. It was the perfect skin care/makeup hybrid for me because it didn't contain mineral SPF. Literally all other bb creams have mineral spf in them which my dry skin hates (clings onto dry patches). I use a good spf underneath bb cream anyways so I don't need spf in my makeup. So so sad it is gone😢

I loved my Clarisonic Mia 2-my skin has not looked the same since I got rid of it (non clarisonic replacement brush heads did not fit quite right). I used it every few days, replaced my brushes within a timely manner. It never irritated my skin. It was great. I got it on sale on QVC back in 2017 and wanted to cry when i found out they closed. I got a Michael Todd equivalent in a fabfitfun box and it feels basically the same. The brushes themselves look similar and they do that same “not quite spinning” oscillation/vibration thing that we loved Clarisonic for. My skin is starting to have that glow and smoothness that it used to with the clarisonic.

I still have my Clarisonic but dreading when it reaches its end😢. I haven’t tried MT brand but thanks for the input; maybe I’ll look into that when my Clari is gone.

@@geliram Right? I thought about keeping my clarisonic longer, but I knew it would just break my heart more whenever I could no longer find brushes. So far so good, still, with my little MT soniclear. I will say the battery power doesn't seem to be as beefy on this one. I recall not having to charge my clarisonic for many months at a time. This one is 2-3 months. Which is still not bad at all and depends on usage. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you choose to go with it in the future.: )

Yes! I hate the smell of banana, but I received the cream in a subscription box. Because you said you liked it, I tried it. I liked it, I have dry skin and used it in the summer and it worked well.

I loved the Banana Soufflé! That was my night cream. I found one online from a resale site and I was comparing it to my last jar, lol. The new moisturizer is not one that I'm interested in trying. I know that it's going to irritate my skin because of some of the ingredients in it (not that it's not good, I just know it's not for me). I also loved the avocado retinol mask. I had to replace it with Chemist Confession's retinol, which is actually even better.

Previous to starting skincare a few years ago by finding wonderful people on KZfaq, I looooooved my knock off Clarisonic. It was the only “skincare” I used and it was the most satisfying thing ever. Probably not great for my skin, but my acne would get better using it since I wasn’t using any other type of exfoliation until much later in my life. Sometimes I do miss mine too

Happy Friday, James! I cannot stand bananas (the taste,the smell, the texture), but I love the banana soufflé. When I heard it was being discontinued, i clutched all the pearls and I started using it sparingly just to preserve it. I like the plum, it I’m gonna. It’s that little pot of yellow joy. I loved loved loved the Krave Beet the Sun.. I had no issue with burning of skin as well. It was light, sinks into the skin, moisturising. I had issues with chemical sunscreen that caused my skin to turn red and hot and irritated. Krave's didn't do that.. So looking forward to the relaunch! Pls do a review of it when it relaunches!

I love all things Krave! That sunscreen was the first that did not break me out. Although, the bottle was small, I had no problem with the price point since it did wonders for my skin. I also used it as a primer, which helped my makeup application.

If you liked the Krave sunscreen I would highly recommend the Mad About Skin sunscreen. He's a british youtuber who started his own skincare brand and it's been great! It has the same condensed milk texture but no alcohol and slightly less dewy but still a soft glow. Enjoying it so far!

The Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun, *_Scented_* version is the one discontinued product I still haven't recovered from. I have other sunscreens that I can happily use, but nothing quite measures up to the overall experience I had with it. The recent reformulation of the Hada Labo Gokujyun Super Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser was also pretty devastating. It was perfect, a tube lasted forever, and it was also crazy cheap. I managed to get my hands on a few backups, and I can only hope some other product comes along to fill the gap before I run out.

I always wondered why Reflect didn't focuse on eye serums/cream/wash/mask and so on. One thing a gamer/streamer would suffer from sooner or later is surly tired eyes. I'm not sure how they just didn't go that way ...

I actually got the EvenPrime Barrier Serum off of your recommendation! I really liked it! And it wasn’t terribly priced as well. I remember a while back I wanted to reorder it, but I had trouble doing so. I have no idea how I found out they were “on pause”, though.

I still use my Clarisonic. I scooped up the silicone “brush” head when they went on clearance along with a bunch of different brush heads I’ll use it until the device dies! 😊

Hey guys! Get the Spa Sciences Nova! I got it and I love it. I’ve tried popular silicone devices and they didn’t clean well. Sonic cleansing bristles really improve my skin compared to just my hands as long as you’re gentle and keep it santized :)

Okay thank you for confirming my thoughts on the Clarisonic😂 my mom used to have one but we were broke so she rarely replaced the head but I remember trying it a few years ago when I was younger and had REALLY oily skin and I LOVED it❤😢 I was very gentle with it and only used it when I felt…plugged? Idk, it was just nice and like you said, it scratched an itch that I can never feel again:(

Miniso has a face scrub brush who's brush head fits the Clarisonic. They cost about $5 and fit perfectly! I'm still using my Clarisonic today!!!

I managed to grab two of the full sized banana soufflés once I realized they were being discontinued. It is a great all around moisturizer that never fails me. I heard you rave about the plum plump in a previous video so I picked one up. It is just not the same for my skin. While it is highly moisturizing, it leaves me feeling tacky which drives me bananas (see what I did there? 🤭). I recently bought the I'm From rice cream -- I might be falling in love...

Looking back and I think the banana soufflé was a product that really helped my redness. I stopped using skincare for a year and I'm getting back into it and I go r search for it and this video comes up! I've wanted to give the plum pump a try but I LOVED the banana soufflé

I LOVED the purito sunscreen and lowkey hoped they would just repackage the lower spf product while working on the new product (I have dark skin and don't need much spf). I didn't know they'd released their new sunscreen, I must check it out.

I miss my Clarisonic too! I didn’t use it daily but I did use it often. I felt like I got a good, deep clean. The makeup attachment was flawless too. I don’t love my Foreo like I did the Clarisonic.

I have had my Clarasonic for 5 years now and I use it every single day 😊 I have oily and sensitive skin that sometimes gets eczema. I use the head for sensitive skin and I honestly feel it keeps my eczema at bay. Cause when I'm camping for a couple of days and not bringing it with me, I can feel the texture/dead skin on my entire face when I'm washing it. And then it takes a scrub wash to get my skin back to normal again...

I still have my Clarisonic and I use it if I’m very sleep deprived and my skin is gross feeling and needs to wake up lol. I had it for 2 yrs and only had to change the brush head once 👍🏼

Glow recipe also discontinued the avocado retinol sleep mask (not the eye one) and it's literally my favorite.. If anyone has any alternative suggestions to this product I would so appreciate it! Also still waiting for krave to release their reformulated sunscreen it was my favorite.. it was first sunscreen that got me to actually use one daily 😭

I like the sweet chef beet retinol mask! It’s a little goopier and not as thick, but the results are similar I find.

❤️‍🩹My all time favorite skincare line, H2O +, retired this month. Literally the only moisturizer that didn’t break me out and deeply moisturized my incredibly dry skin (and I live in a climate with 10% humidity). I’m heartbroken but on the search again for something comparable. 💔😭

I had one of the Magnitone versions of the cleansing brushes. I did like it and it was a lot cheaper. However I started finding it a faff to use, and didn’t like having to replace the heads as it wasn’t particularly sustainable. I did use the heads far longer than they suggested too 😂

I found GR banana souffle moisture cream and my favorite thrift store, it was still sealed in the box! 7.00 USD. I'm in Michigan, and I picked it up of course. Edit: I'm happy to have James thoughts! I love it

The pineapple serum smelled like meat to me, and made me break out. Love the banana cream, I have one left and I'm worried it's bad now, I use it in winter over the pink juice. Loving the guava and the plum replacements, wishing I had kept the pineapple bottle thought! I'm obsessed with Glow Recipe too.

I miss the La Mer self tanner :( Not really skincare maybe but it was the only self tanner that was subtle enough for my skin colour and it smelled absolutely INCREDIBLE and made my skin feel so soft. It was v expensive but it was truly the only thing I would splurge on. Can't find it anywhere now.

Maybe you should try the Rituals self tanner. It's gradual so you can build up the colour and it smells nice! 😊

Glow Recipe retinol mask was great too. They had an in person pop up in New York in 2021, the girls frankly told me not many people bought it, which was sad.

I had a feeling that the GR Banana souffle had been discontinued 😢 So here I am scraping the bottom of my last bottle. That said, I do like the Plum Plump moisturizer but I will surely miss the Banana souffle.

The Glow Recipe Pineapple serum worked okay, but I absolutely LOVED its cute little packaging 💛 I treasure my empty bottle very much now - hahaha. Part of me wishes they wouldn't let that packaging idea go to waste and create something new for it. Even though pink is my favourite colour, Glow Recipe has been looking very monochromatic lately since discontinuing their avocado sleeping mask, and now the banana souffle and pineapple c serum. I also suspect the avocado eye cream MAY be on the chopping block now that they've released the guava eye serum. I hope they create new products with other colours soon.

I only heard of Evenprime when you talked about their closing sale and bought 5 of their barrier serums! I wish I could've gotten my hands on their other products, they had the coolest packaging and the serum is so good😭

I still have my clarisonic but I haven't used it in a year and a half. I do get urges to use it again, especially when I have heavy makeup day. The time I used it it helped a lot with my acne and getting a routine set up. I still have a lot of replacement heads that are just waiting to be use...

I still love my Clarisonic. I’m going to use it until it dies and then I’ll buy something similar. My skin never felt and looked so good after I started using it years ago. I only use it on days when I wear makeup and so I can give my face a break for a of couple days.

I used my foreo face cleaning device every day for over a year and honestly, my skin never looked worse 😂 and for so long I couldn’t figure out why my oily skin was so textured and it was because that thing never properly exfoliated my skin and didn’t clean well. Stopped using it, and my skin improved so much, along with proper exfoliation. Never going back to skin cleaning devices

I am sad about the Banana Soufflé too! I still have one jar left.😢And their Avocado retinol cream was my neck retinol😢I enjoyed the pineapple serum too-mostly for the packaging 😂 The number one most tragic discontinuation for me was the Miracle Seed Essence from Primera that product soothed and brightened like nothing else and was cheaper than SKII. I also enjoyed their moisturizers. And the Farsali (RIP) Unicorn lip mask was nice.

Clarisonic changed my skin! The pores on my face were reduced to invisible. I’m so confused as why it was taken of the market. (I used the acne brush head and it was so soft)

I think part of the reason is, they made a lot off their brush heads and other companies were starting to make heads for the clarisonic for a fraction of the price.

I don’t care what the masses say, I love and miss Clarisonic.. I’m welder and wear a full face of makeup, sunscreen, and dirt lol .. doing a good scrub with my Clarisonic especially in the summer months feels sooo good.

I loved my clarasonic. Used twice a week, never had an issue. The misuse and not changing the heads were the problem

I decided that I liked the banana soufflé only for them to discontinue it. It was my perfect summer moisturizer-not to heavy in texture while still delivering hydration. I liked that it was still a dewy finish without making it look like my face is sweating, as it tends to do.
