IU is the most popular female solo artist in korea and one of the most decorated songwriters in the industry. She debuted at the age of 15 and has been in the industry for about 13 years now. She is the idol of every idol if that makes sense. She is also an incredibly successful actress and overall, one of if not the most respected woman in the korean entertainment industry. Her nickname is the nation’s little sister. Please check out more of her music, she’s a true artist, the real deal and I think you’d love her.

I love her confidence and quirkiness. She is real deal singer songwriter. If you haven't yet, her acting is amazing too. Esp in Hotel Del Luna. (Outfits on fire too. The whole series.)

IU is the real deal, she has EVERYTHING. Vocals, talent, looks, and the hugest heart. She is a great song writer & lyricist, and literally an A list actress in korea. Alot of ppl mentioned her drama Hotel Del Luna but my favourites of her acting are actually in My Mister (bawled my eyes out) and The Producers. As a person, she is the most humble, genuine, mature, giving person ever. Nobody is perfect but IU might be.

fun fact: IU had to modify the way she sung around the beginning of her singing career to cater to a larger audience. In her first song Mia and in her JYP audition, she had such a powerful voice at a young age. Uaenas know she has the ability to sing and belt if she wanted to, and we get excited anytime she shows a little bit of her full singing ability. That strategic decision has definitely been beneficial in her career as a singer. I feel like I'm constantly being surprised at how much she's improved as an artist as the years go by.

so glad you discovered her! she's definitely one of my favourite solo artists out there. Went to her concert once as a non-fan (more like a casual listener), and I left the concert being her fan. her personality is very likeable and she really gives off the friendly, super nice vibe to the fans. listening to her voice live is out of this world!

I would actually love for you to watch her perform NAKKA with Suhyun and Chanhyuk, they performed it when AKMU guest starred in IU's Palette Live. They show some insane control and incredible talent. If you haven't seen AKMU in action, you'll be blown away by them as well!

Queen IU she tries diff genre everytime and she has been on top every year since 2010. She is a singer, actress, host, lyricist, producer, composer, charity angel and soooo much more. My personal favorite is her MODERN TIMES album and all her albums 😅

The song ‘밤편지’ is the 2nd most streamed song in Korea in 2010-2020 decade. I would say it has a similar position as Adele’s “hello” in the pop industry ^^

If you are interested: IU's twenty tree song the pop dance track version kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pZmTn5ya1Nabo2Q.html It is from her "image breaking" album CHAT SHIRE. Before this album she was Korea's Little SIster and had a very "pure" and "innocent" image. It was the first album where she was credited as the executive producer, she wrote the lyrics for all seven tracks and composed the music for five tracks (individually and collaboratively). Hope this helps you on getting to know her music a little better.

hiii^^ I think you would really anjoy epik high- love story (ft iu) it is a rnb/hip-hop esque track that features iu's sweet vocals I personally love the contrast and since u mentioned rnb ballads I think that song would be in your lane (even tho its not really a ballad but its quite a chill song)

If ypu liked IU, you MUSSSSSSST watch her Drama (I don't even see it as a drama, just like a long indie movie) My Mister. It is a masterpiece, one in a million series, She is incredible in this also. MUST SEE!
