As someone who has adopted Germany as her home, I love seeing you work and laugh with Andy. As soon as he mentioned squirrel I laughed as Eichhörnchen was my favourite difficult German word to learn. Ask him to say oachkatzlschwoaf and see if you can say it too!! Appropriately it is dialect for a squirrels tail 😂 I just love the craftsmanship going into your stairs.

There is a product called Willard's Water that you may want to keep handy in case of burns. When my son was about 2 yrs old, his grandmother was cooking a big pot of noodles. His grandmother left the kitchen for a minute. My son got a chair and moved it over to the stove. He climbed up on the chair and stuck his whole arm into the boiling water. When he screamed, I ran and pulled him away, took him to the sink, and ran cold water on his arm while his dad grabbed a towel, poured Willard's Water on the towel, then wrapped his arm in it. He stopped crying in about 8-10 minutes. We left the towel on for about 30 minutes, also adding more Willard's Water a second time. When we took the towel off, there was no redness, swelling, scaring, or blistering. I will forever be grateful for Willard's Water. I love your heart-shaped rock.

It is so satisfying to watch the stonework. I appreciate that Andy shares his knowledge and explains what he is doing and why. Everyone that has contributed to the transformation of your property has shown great craftsmanship and pride in their work and it is evident in the quality of the build so far. Similarly, the respect and appreciation the two of you extend to everyone and your willingness to jump in and contribute any way you can creates a mutually rewarding experience for all! Andy and Terry are real masters of building with stone. Andy has the particular knowledge to provide the best of each segment of your build. He explains it so well, and actually when he suggested that each of the stones is to be cleaned and totally wet when laid for effective bonding! It reminds me of the methods used when the pyramids were built. Our guide explained that each block seemed to ‘suck’ into the next stone for adding strength/bonding! I can see why! Absolutely! I find the same thing happens in housekeeping; wet things next to each other seem to bond as they dry. Ginger from Michigan

The workers are masters in their skills and are not afraid to explain their craft. I have burned my hand just like Brittany and I also used aloe vera. I have a large Aloe Vera plant and cut off a piece and quickly applied the liquid on my hand. I kept my hand wrapped in gauze to minimize an infection. The stairs are spectacular and I can appreciate all the granite and stones are from your property.

Saint John's wort is the best for burns. It is called balsam for a reason. Try it if you can find it. It is red. If you have the plant in your area, during spring and early summer, you can make your own. You put fresh flowers in olive oil and store for a month in a dark place. It is a remedy for everything. Get well soon. The step come out beautiful by the way

Hello guys. I'm a genetic genealogist. I have been watching your show for years and couldn't help but respond this time. When looking at the ethnic pie chart that your genetics show, you must remember.... If, for example, your father was born in America, but both of his parents were born in Switzerland and the line goes back pretty far in Switzerland., t hen you have a ton of Swiss from each parent. Another example is if you have a grandfather and all of his siblings were born in Switzerland and then the family moved to America where your grandfather is then born, his heritage genetics is still very Swiss. It doesn't matter if somebody lived in a country, for example France for a generation or two . It matters where their genetic heritage comes from, their parents, their grandparents, etc. Just something to keep in mind when you are looking at that ethnic pie chart. Have fun. Genetic genealogy is a blast
