Dr. Keller is one of the most important people in my life. I converted to Christianity as a young adult at Redeemer in 1994, he baptized me, married my husband and I and I briefly worked for him. I owe so so so so much. Overcome with sorrow over the loss of one of the best teachers and unbeknownst to him, one of the best friends I ever had. I hope I see him again one day to tell him what I wish I could right now.

From the most basic expositions to the more complex contemporary cultural conundrums , Keller speaks with clarity and decisiveness guided by his confession of faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Wow. I’ve heard the David and Goliath story for decades, but I’ve never heard it render a picture of imputation. Thank you, Tim Keller.

I had never heard of Tim Keller until some friends mourned his death last month. Now I have read several of his book and truly enjoyed the series, Discovering the Gospel in every book of the bible. What a gift to the world. Thanking God for Tim Keller's Spirit led life!

I have been a keen follower of Tim Keller sermons. I have watched all the videos on Discovering the Gospel in Bible books up to 1st and 2nd Samuel. Are there any more awaiting upload? Tim Keller had a thorough and deep knowledge of the scriptures. He will be missed. May his soul rest in perfect peace and may The Good Lord grant his wife, family and friends the fortitude to bear his departure.

😮 I didn’t know Israel was going to have king predicted by Moses. I thought Israel wasn’t supposed to have a king because Yahweh was their king. Granted this is still true because Jesus is true king that delivers us. “Jesus is the king, but also the suffering servant.” - Tim Keller.

Compare John 1: 1-5 and Genesis 1: 1-5: John 1 Names of God Bible The Word Becomes Human 1 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was already with God in the beginning. 3 Everything came into existence through him. Not one thing that exists was made without him. 4 He was the source of life, and that life was the light for humanity. 5 The light shines in the dark, and the dark has never extinguished it. Genesis 1 Names of God Bible The Creation 1 In the beginning Elohim created heaven and earth. 2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep water. The Ruach Elohim was hovering over the water. 3 Then Elohim said, “Let there be light!” So there was light. 4 Elohim saw the light was good. So Elohim separated the light from the darkness. 5 Elohim named the light day, and the darkness he named night. There was evening, then morning-the first day.
