Yup praise the Lord. We really need to spread it in Japan tho. It's extremely small there. Many still worship their ancestors, and false God's. It actually makes sense why people started doing that. I think its because in the times around Noah's day people were living 900 years. Imagine people start dyeing at 70 and see their ancestors still living after 400 years. That would be easy to deify if you knew Not God

This is such a different teaching compared to the prosperity gospel. My dad has always said, “God is not an emotion, God is a fact”. Evil will happen, we will get sick, we will be poor, but just know that God is present.

This the most painfully beautiful lesson on God’s plan and His timing! Still in the valley of trials and endless trials, but this is the drop of God’s tears to quench the doubting faith that was fast evaporating amidst the heats of tribulations! Thank you for the kind and gentle approach in telling the Habakuk’s story,… a story of boldly talking back to a Father, who needs to hear our pain without the retribution for “speaking up” and telling it, as it is. Finally, how can one imagine living without Him! There’s no one, but only The One Father, The Mighty One, that I cannot fathom or dare to imagine walking without, along me, in the unjust and brutal darkness of evil!

"Unconditional faithful wrestling". Hababkuk saw only evil or injustice, and God seeming to be absent or doing nothing about it. Hababkuk questioned God with boldness and honesty. He posed a rhetorical question, a punishing statement. He said I thought you were infinite, wise, but you are not. God promises to send more violence and oppression. Hababkuk challenges God; asks if He is nuts!? Walking away from God is not an option for Hababkuk. Hababkuk, I would not be upset if I did not think You were holy or if I could walk away. The very presence of such prayers in scripture is a witness to God's understanding(Frank Derek Kidner (22 September 1913 - 27 November 2008) was a British Old Testament scholar, best known for writing commentaries). God knows how we speak when we are desperate. I remain your God because of my grace, my unconditional love. Don't you dare judge me by your own timetables, your own time measurements and your own calendars(God). You will not understand what I am doing(God). Trust me(God). God brings salvation and justice out of difficulty, evil, and injustice. ~~~ scrambled notes from the late Tim Keller's message

The God who provided my salvation has never been a "do nothing" God. He has been busy helping me in the removal of the "king" who took up residence and exercised "Spiritual Adverse Possession" over me from the time I left my mother's womb, until I responded to Jesus' call to me to receive Him as Saviour. He continues to be with me leading me to spend time with Him in His Word and prayer and defense against Satan's attempts to "upset the spiritual applecart". He is a perfect, as well as busy, Lord.

One of the most difficult Providence's or wills of God is when he stops being as God should be, which is actually most of the time. Now this is a punishment to the world, and it seems in these modern times he is even more extreme with it. Is it not the hardest thing to bear when God doesn't do what God should do. We are undone, perplexed, disheartened. It is the greatest difficulty. There are times that God plays the part of an enemy, he even can throw a providential tantrum, and it's all a punishment. We don't deserve a just, righteous God. We must patiently submit to his ways. Justice must be done eventually but he is outside of time and has no need or passions as we do for immediate justice.

"Unconditionally faithful wrestling" comes from a basic heart posture of humility. By contrast, our Post-Enlightenment, Post-Modern utter rejection of even BELIEF in God is born out of pure, toxic pride.

A man whose life is going well walks on the beach and sees the footsteps of God walking next to him in the sand. Technically the main purpose of man is to glorify God. anger at God is still an act of faith. You do not get angry at the Tooth Fairy or Ronald McDonald because they arent real. It isnt rational. Being angry demonstrates your belief that he exists. Also, people turn from God (or more likely the church) because the "answer" doesnt address the pain. People do not turn to useless remedies. Why should they remain faithful when the answer is a giant middle finger? Dont blame finite creature for not understanding the infinite. The church must learn to rectify this inadequacy in its teaching, or it will lose more and more souls.

@mwu2712 one of the biggest problems is the false teaching that God doesn't punish. Everyone is subject to sufferings and most of the time they are not linked to any behaviour. God does not give an account of any of his ways. He may reveal it afterwards after the judgement, it's not certain.

All sufferings are a punishment. Death is still a punishment even though true believers are saved by the "sting of death." Understand the Westminster Confession of Faith Q. What are the punishments for sin in this life? A. The punishments for sin in this world are... all evils that befall us in our bodies, names, estates, relations, and employments, together with death itself.
