Jihoon is a really interesting idol. He is completely unafraid to be himself - he doesn’t baby the fans, he revealed he already had his first love on national television, he is very transparent about how he wasn’t a naturally skilled singer or dancer and that every amazing talent he now has was the product of extreme hard work and dedication. He’s not my bias, but I find him fascinating and extremely intelligent.

so basically, Jihoon is the prankster dad and hyunsuk is the asian tired of her children's shit mom. also, there's this saying for the two leaders with teume: save hyunsuk from treasure and save treasure from jihoon

Choi Hyunsuk has been said to have all the qualities to be a perfectly balanced soloist. And another word for him is ACE, he has two main positions in the group which is very rare (main rapper and main dancer of the group) he is also the center (in most mv dance breaks). He is also known as the powerhouse of treasure, if you ever watch their concert or stage performances you will see the amount of adlibs and hype he adds to the whole group. I also like to call him the ruler of every stage, as he has a lot of control in his hand when a performance happens (he also directs and monitors the choreography for the group). He is a leader, a very sweet yet the most strict in the group when it comes to work. He is a producer, composer, topliner and lyricist for the group (and has produced the song 'BFF' (mind you he prepared that in a span of 2 days). When it comes to dancing he has a natural swag and talent in him to make every choreography as his own and add own touches to it. He is known as the 4th gen fashion king and has a very versatile fashion style, also a huge trendsetter. He is one of the 3 members in treasure who speaks english (his english name is Danny Choi) (and his stage name is 7chill). He has also acted in treasure's webdrama (the mysterious class) and is a brilliant actor. All in all he is the ace and one of the most insanely talented idols in KPOP.

Yg made the right to decison to bring back Jihoon, Jaehyuk, Yoshi and Asahi. It's amazing how he sees the potential a trainee has even though, at present, they are lacking or seemed hopeless to improve. Eventually, after Treasure Box, as you see them grow as insane performers, you'll be thankful to YG for his decision. The ppl who hated the line up back then ate their words. 😁

Fun fact: Hyunsuk and Jihoon are called the mom and dad of Treasure >< (even by treasure themselves)

when they were not merged yet -- treasure and magnum --- hyunsuk was assigned as treasure's leader, jihoon was magnum's leader. so when they TREASURE just became 1 group, they decided to share the leadership role. their dynamics has become like hyunsuk is the "mom" because of his gentle nature, always worrying about the members' whereabouts, and loves to spoil the members. mean while, jihoon acts like a "dad" for his protective and disciplinarian nature. when at work, hyunsuk leads more in terms of music production and jihoon heads the dancing and fitness/health department. during stage rehearsals, hyunsuk oversees how they perform in front while jihoon sees and guides at the back.

I wouldn't recommend Treasure Box JUST YET just because there's enough sadness in the world already right now and if you watch that, you will cry every single episode, guaranteed. 14:10 He's a kid, who is that guy? That's Junhyuk, a Treasure Box trainee 😅 He was indeed still a kid (13 or 14 at the time i think?) but he was honestly an amazing rapper. Hyunsuk and Junhyuk chose to work together for this performance and wrote their own rap parts. Hyunsuk is actually super cute with kids so seeing how this performance came to be was actually very wholesome haha I highly recommend watching!

I suggest you watch survival YG treasure box first. You'll appreciate not just the formed group but the whole training experience and the trainees. I didnt mind YG merging them. I'd want to support them as one. They may have been competitors during the show but if you watch their extra contents during YGTB, you'll discover how much close they all actually are. The editing just sometimes makes them look like enemies. Lol!

For me, I want you to check on YGTB first before their TMAP. It's because that way you can understand more where theyre coming from. Then when you watch TMAP you will appreciate their journey more and where they are now. They are not like the other YG Artist that was an instant hit during their debut, mostly because the Netizens turned their heads away of YG Entertainment because of the scandals and they debuted 18 months after their hit survival show, and many fans and followers left. Because of this circumstance, that makes them even more special. Even if they were coming from a big company, they they started from a humble beginning. If you do it this way, you will definitely have a different level of connection with them. At least from those I told to watch YGTB first. ☺️

this group makes me cry all the time. i just can't comprehend how these 12 amazingly talented, passionate, and pure hearted kids are in one group! i've been a kpop stan for more than ten years now but i haven't seen a group as CLINGY (LITERALLY!!!) and as lovable as treasure. if you happen to watch treasure map in the future you will understand what i mean huhu. they just radiate so much warmth and positivity. they honestly have saved my pandemic in so many ways :) ps: i may not be able to watch your treasure box and treasure map reactions but i'm still so excited for your treasure journey! i hope they touch your life in some way as they did mine :)

*I absolutely recommend Treasure Box after the guide. It's always best to start from the very beginning to fully understand how much they all grew, music and personality (their confidence/bond to each other) wise. It's painful, yes. But that's exactly what made us connect to them at such a deeper level we didnt even fathom we could. Seeing how passionate, hard working, and dedicated they were at such a young age remains to be an inspiration. They were so young but so strong and determined to reach their dreams. I wish I was like them. Plus, I swear, it was so satisfying to see them slowly and surely reaching their dreams after all that hard work and struggle during Treasure Box.*

My answer about the sub-unit planned as TREASURE 7 and Magnum I first watch clips of ygtb in 2019 Jan 3/4 and at that time the last ep of ygtb has not been aired I think or at least not all members are announced . And I've been following them since then even though not as much like I do from 2020 Jan 30😅 (this is the day Going Crazy performance video is release ). When YG announced about Magnum I was like "so it's like EXO" and I don't have any much reaction (idk how teumes at that time react because I don't use any social media except u tube at that time) . But I was waiting for their debut eagerly and many things happen with YG that year so debut postponed and at that time I was very into drama so I start to forget about them . And in december YG announced Yoonbin departure from the group so my reaction was "what will happen to them and why do all the groups I check out have always one/more member left the group?" And that's it. In Nov/Dec hyunsuk and doyoung dance video was uploaded but that don't catch my attention that much. What got me in TREASURE again is a funny one😂 A quiz about Treasure pop up in my KZfaq and I took the test and I got around 6/20 😂so i was determined to know them more and a whole story left about the things I watch 😅and that's how I got into them. And since 2020 all I watch is TREASURE until that legendary 1 year hiatus 😂😂😂

ive been with treasure since ygtb and were one of the fans that were so mad and upset about the original 7 member lineup i remember back then everyone was leaving messages and comments to yg to change it and include more of the trainees. Back then in the survival show there were trainees we had alr seen before and that had a fanbase alr and bc yg didnt include them a lot of fans were mad at that, plus Jaehyuk in the lineup upsetted many of them since he had only been a trainee for 6 months ! he got a lot of hate for that but he has really showed just how amazing and talented he is :D

I think you should start with YGTB after this! just bcs i love it when ppl recognize and learn more of treasure individual talents cuz honestly they are really a gems. That Yang Hyunsuk guy (YG founder) really has an eye for talent And omg I'm so happy cuz i found another reactor who is a hyunsuk admirer!! Treasure Box (YGTB) shows the struggles as well the roots of these 12 precious boys which is important to know in order to understand them better. Watching YGTB, you would know just why we Teumes cherish and treasure them so much.

The key to get thru almost all survival shows is to remember that the contestants are not all there to win, the majority are actually there to get exposure. Their goal is mainly to get exposure for their existing groups or their future groups which will benefit them in the long run. Project groups never meant to last. The companies involved will only be able to work together for so long before their schedules will clash. That’s why they always disband after a short period of time. Trainees from the big three are always heavily desired in smaller companies because they have more extensive training but they have a harder time time debuting because their internal competition pool is bigger. Many trainees will leave the larger companies bc they have a better shot at debut with a smaller company who desires skills they learned at a bigger company.

They all produce and compose their own songs. DARARI was composed, written and produced by YEDAM and co-composed and co-written by HYUNSUK, HARUTO and YOSHI ! Their album The Second step was produced by the 4 of them. There are 5 members of Treasure who are registered in KOMCA so basically all i mentioned + Asahi (he composed and produced ORANGE). But there are more Treasure members who have yet to release self-produced songs and those are Junkyu, Mashiho and Jaehyuk as far as we know. But I do believe YG will give them the opportunity to release songs when they're ready

i'm a pre-debut fan and although i used to have all these what ifs, i believe they are meant to be together as one. treasure is 12 and will always be 12 in my heart. i know they will continue to grow as an artist and i couldn't be more proud of them. i'm very lucky i've witness their journey since day 1. i really wish them all the success, happiness and love in the world. > thank you so much for appreciating treasure! i wanna welcome you offically to the fandom & more power to your channel! 💙

Actually most of those who stay tuned for their survival show wanted them to debut together. This is because it was one of YG stans regret not seeing WINNER and IKON debuting together. WINNER and iKON competed each other in 2014 as TEAM A and B, and WINNER won the whole survival show. Leaving TEAM B and underwent another survival show to form IKON and adding Chanwoo to the whole list of members. So most of the fans begged YG to debut them together (you can actually see it in some of the episode in YGTB) since he was SO SURE of debuting not more than 7. And ended up announcing 7 at the end of the show. After the final line up, the survival show is still making waves and netizens were still talking about not wasting potential of the other trainees, hence the 2nd group was formed by surprise. And them promoting as one group was the bonus. That was the set up until Jan 2020 when Yoonbin left the undebuted group. YG then finalized on merging both groups where all of the boys agreed. 🤗

Definitely watch T-Map because it's hilarious and I know you'll enjoy it. But one day I also suggest watching their survival show because you'll fully understand how much they went through. I already hated YG because of how he would treat the idols I had watched for years, but watching how he treated these kids made me so furious. A lot of my favorite trainees - including Byounggon, Seunghun, Wang Jyunhao (sometimes spelled as Guno) - didn't make the cut, of course. However many of the trainees have debuted in other groups. Byounggon and Seunghun (who were besties) debuted with the Kpop group CIX; and Jyunhao went back to Taiwan to finish school before debuting in Japan with a group called BUGVEL. Despite the pain of the series, there are plenty of happy paths that branched and many of them are still friends to this day. The kid rapping against Hyunsuk is Junhyuk (another one of my favs from the show bc he was adorable). He was a 2005-liner like Junghwan; and extremely confident and talented for his age. Hyunsuk saw him as his little brother and the two were inseparable with great chemistry like real blood siblings. It was heartbreaking when Junhyuk had to leave, but how he's left YG and is back in Canada to finish high school. He's probably 17 now so maybe has two years left. I'm kind of hoping he eventually returns to be a rapper because I think he has a real talent with it, but I'll be happy as long as he lives his life well. Treasure are truly so talented and have shown immense growth throughout their short career. I watched them debut, but T-Map is what made them rise into my ults list. I couldn't stop laughing and have to rewatch episodes when I need to cheer up. It'll also help you find your bias if you have trouble picking and showcases every member's personality well. Also, and I'm sorry this is so long winded, don't feel stress about picking your bias. I had a single bias during their predebut (Junkyu) but now after watching T-Map and knowing them so much better... I have like 6 biases and 6 wreckers. I'm fond of every member.

I have watched YGTB right after it ended, even before the lineup was announced. I supported Jaehyuk and Yoon bin (the one who left). The waiting game hurts but after their debut, it was very worth it. They are certainly worth it. These kids are very real even on camera.
