Well YG has a gimmick story saying he asked the group who is the most handsome member and these 5 raised their hands. It wasn’t a true reason as how T5 was formed. But he did later say in the announcement that this unit is a mix of visuals + strong dancers/choreography + unique vocals. Also, I felt that he wanted to give more recognition and shine to Jaehyuk, Doyoung, and Junghwan because they tend to not get a lot of shine in previous TREASURE releases. Also, those 3 are very strong dancers as well.. Doyoung has beautiful dance lines and has a good feel of dancing. Junghwan exudes power and strength when he’s dancing, but he said he has learned how to soften his dance lines recently and more so in T5 choreography. Jaehyuk has his own energy and style in dancing and he’s soooo smooth. These 3 also have such unique vocals that hasn’t been heard as much unless you listen to their b-sides. Jaehyuk has this very sleepy pretty vocal tone, Doyoung’s vocals is so crisp and light, and Junghwan’s vocals also has such this pretty and slight husky voice more so with his voice getting deeper since debut. We already know what Junkyu and Jihoon brings on the daily, but they still impress in this unit. ❤

I think they created this unit to give others time to shine. All of them are really talented on their own..it just that there are some members that shine more.

I remember you saying how a few sec lines doesn’t do justice to the members and that’s a fact that many stans love dismissing so having this unit and Junkyu composing most of it is truly an opportunity we’ve all been waiting for! Most of T5 usually gets below 10 secs of line in their songs. MOVE proved everyone that they have more talent they haven’t shown ❤ so happy for them especially Junkyu! It’s been so long since I heard him actually sing and those vocal gumnastics from the bridge to the outro quenched my thirst 🤧
