I’m from the city and always only ever heard bad jokes about the Midwest and about how it was a hellhole but he’s definitely opened my eyes to how lovely the people are. Makes me think of NY back in the day when it had small town vibes. I’m looking forward to visiting Wisconsin and the Midwest after lockdown now.

My first time on this channel and I am enjoying it. Charlie is a pretty boy-he should be a model. One of my physicians was born and raised in Wisconsin, and although he has an accent to these southern ears, I have never had a problem understanding him. However, I know a native Minnesotan whom I can barely understand. I think I could understand him if he didn’t sound as though he was talking with a mouthful of marbles.

I am not from Wisconsin, but my paternal family is rooted there and I LOVE it. I have visited many times (for family reunions) and it is beautiful. I wish I could talk my husband and (grown) kids interested moving there. My great Aunt had a natural spring (man, it was freezing) on her land and one of my favorite memories is jumping in and swimming with my cousins. Also, never had a cheese curd until I was ~14 and they are absolutely delicious (not fried).

I enjoyed this interview! He's so genuine and it is inspirational & awesome! Oh and Charlie, I really like the double screen shift when you say "Oh my gosh!" in your Manitowoc Minute videos-please keep this as it adds emphasis!

Currently S of Cudahy...Charlie's posts make me so 😊! I'm an early transplant to Oconomowoc....Had to learn Bubbler real quick so my teachers would let me get a drink!!! LG, UW-Madison, Milwaukee followed, along with nice people, day drinking, camping, ice fishing and skiing... summers trips to Wiscinsin Dells, Rice Lake and hunting cabins/camps up nort', Door County fish boils, Culvers' butter burgers and custard ....kringles and krullers and state fair funnel cakes! So glad we didn't stay all the way S in Ill where girls got a truck at 16 and a husband at 18, and a Southern accent to go with it. Geez....makes me wanna go fix me a Brandy Old Fashion & whiskey (Canadian Club, of course) Manhattan right now. Ask your folks their favorite recipes when you tell them I says Hi! Go Pack!! F the Bears!!!

It’s with your efforts, and others leaders of the state who are in touch with the goings on of the country that keeps us authentic. It’s fun to watch us Wisconsinites grow up.

Grandma from WI but grandpa was from MI, so I grew up in MI and was kinda a foriegn exchange kid in WI in summer and xmas. Always slip into the accent when in WI or in Calumet/UP. Makes my wife and daughter laugh.

Alright, Charlie has been in Wisconsin for many years, and he does have an authentic accent. You don't really hear the Wisconsin accent in bigger cities due to people not from Wisconsin being there and mixing in their accent. If you live in the rural, or small towns, and typically more up north is when the accent is more apparent. I know people who naturally talk like his exaggerated accent. Also, who gives af if she likes him or not. If I was a girl I'd be over Charlie too. Who gives af if their eyes are red, I'd be smoking before an interview too.

I am originally from way up north from superior and I have lived down here in Madison for 10 years and people will ask me where I am from. I tell them from Madison and they say, no way you are, you sound Canadian because of my accent. Lived in SD and some people said omgosh I love your accent another time I went to visit a friend in northern California and his daughter is laughing so I asked her what's so funny and she says your accent and I said oh I'm sorry I will stop talking and she goes no keep talking I like it it.
