Sort those troublesome EGR faults on your 2.7TDV6 Discovery 3 or Range Rover Sport the easy way. We've tried to show just how simply you can install the blanking plates onto your vehicle at home.
The blanks are simple to fit, reversible, and 'MOT friendly' They're also nice and cheap! They're on our eBay store or website:

If your vehicle is pre 2007, thats you done too! There is no need to adjust the software in the vehicle. On models after this, you will need to map the EGR out. We can do this for you, either on-site with us, or through one of our many agents and trusted partners. We've a full list of these on our website!

First thing I don’t when I bought mine was Egr gone. Unplugged them both. Coded out. And fitted the blanks. Removed the pipes too😅 dirty horrible little thing. Makes a difference highly recommend it

Is a post 2007 Disco 3 just going to throw a EML without reduced power or also go into limb mode when u just blank it without ECU tune?

hi great vid!!!!, looking to order those blanking plates from your ebay... mines a 2005 so no software to worry about 👍but what about the butterfly valve does that still need to be removed and give the EGR a cleanup while at it/map sensor? Thanks Bob

If your not having the software modified then i would recommend removing this butterfly valve as normally i disable it in the software. Also its never a bad thing to clean that sensor it does get extremely dirty over time!

Just ordered a pair myself, don’t suppose this will clear an already thrown fault light by any miracle will it, or will it require a plug in ?

If the fault is logged then fitting these wont clear it. It will need to go on the diagnostics and be checked and if a later one will need the software altering as well.

Just found and watched your video and its confused me about my own car - 2011 Jag XF 3.0D. I had a dpf delete done and they mapped it and the EGRs out. I still have the pipes in place, no blanking done and the butterfly is still there. Is this correct. Car seems to drive ok but wondering why it was done this way ? Does it still need physically blanking and should i still leave the butterfly in place ? Thanks for any advice

This video is for the 2.7 TDV6 yours is a very different engine its always good practice to blank the EGR's if removing them in the software just in case either of them are stuck open and bleed hot gases back into the plastic manifold.

Why are you taking a bolt of when these plates can slide in. Is it necessary to remove one or can I just loosen both of them, thanks for help.

When sliding them in its very tight so quicker to remove the one bolt as you can move the flange a bit further away for better access

I ordered the blanking plates for my yoke, there’s no faults but I just want to blank it off for preventative maintenance, will I need to still map it out or will I get insufficient flow faults ?

Depending on year, if you have an early one it will still log the fault however it will not bring the engine management light on. If it’s later as soon as the ecu detects insufficient flow it will bring the light on

Depending on the year you may not need a software update, these do fit the jag as well
