The supply vessel was from the Edison Chouest fleet. They call Chouest the Cajun Navy. Biggest company you’ve never heard of. 9 shipyards, 400+ vessels worldwide, family owned and operated. I worked for Chouest for 14 years. Not sure which vessel that was but it was one of the newer ones. Nice vessels. The Dynamic Positioning System is incredible, about 7 computers coordinate the vessels thrusters and main propulsion systems and the vessel will sit in one spot like its sitting on a rock, kinda amazing if you consider the wind is pushing the vessel one direction the waves and current in another. The captain and crew monitor the system only correcting it if needed, which is rarely.
