Ed Stafford faces off against Kiwi survivalist John James in a race across Yunnang Province, China. Dealing with the challenges of high-altitude and a lack of natural resources, the pair have to make the most of their environment if they are to survive and be the first man out. While Ed uses a goat to consolidate his gains, John uses natural remedies to deal with altitude sickness.

I actually see the rope around the neck at 1:09 its about 6 inches up from the white hair closest to the neck. Yet they try to edit or cutaway from it.

Literally every survival show ever to come out was scripted except for the one & only SURVIVAL MAN w/ LES STROUD. He even recorded his self, carried all the cameras & equipment along with his survival gear & all. It really shows you the difference between realistic survival & these fake survivor shows

@@willhall796 yeah that’s true but that doesn’t mean it was less entertaining for us to watch! Ultimately Bear Grylls is a survivor and an entertainer. So yeah he slept at hotels and ate good food whilst explaining how to survive, that doesn’t mean that his explanation of how to survive doesn’t work.... if you are in a survival situation and you follow what Bear Grylls did you’ll survive just fine. Bear just needed to show people how to survive, he didn’t need to suffer for it.... it’s just my perspective on the matter.

Nah, Survival man fakes things too. If it's on tv there will always be some aspect that is faked or dramatized, or enhanced for entertainment, but there are also protocols, and safety measures behind the scenes done to mitigate the chance of these guys dying on camera. Everyone is guilty of this.
