I've been vaping for 13 years. It got me off my 50+ Rollie a day habit when all else had failed. The nic and the process helps me deal with the PTSD from a serious work accident in that I find that sitting down with a cuppa and a vape helps take the edge off the anxiety when it kicks in. I've currently got about 8 years worth of nic stored at -20c and large amounts of wire stashed. Being something of an OG vaper I've been through the DIY mech mod and tank phase so hardware will never be an issue. Basically I see vaping as a personal choice which harms no one. Consequently the gummint (and various lobbyists ) can go take a flying fuck. Cloud production WILL continue regardless!

When i say vaping saved my life.. i mean it. Not only did i stop smoking cigs but i started vaping when i was finally able to stop drinking and doing drugs. I had been battling addiction with alcohol, benzos and opiates for over a decade. It almost killed me and had to spend 4 months in the hospital with necrotizing pancreatitis and liver cirrhosis. Complications of the pancreatitis almost ended things for me. The hobby side of vaping kept my mind engaged in something interesting so i wouldn't think about drinking or using all day. I dove right into rebuildables and coil building. It was my new obsession. It'll be 4 years in a couple months that i haven't had a cigarette, drink, or drug. Sad to see government putting an end to something that reduces harm. All because big tobacco has a fat wallet. It's absolutely disgusting what is happening to vaping nicotine and what will come further down the road.

Man I couldn't give a rat's ass about the disposable ban. I think they are shit to begin. And yes i do agree they are causing kids to use them because they are so simple to use. advanced kits not so much because you need alot of things to keep your vape running. It makes no sense to ban those. They say it's all about protecting children in vape addiction, but i never once seen a teenager carry a vape mod.

Our hospitals in the UK hand out vape starter kits. They've handed out 1 million kits so far. Shit is messed up in Australia right now. Really bad. They're just encouraging people to continue to smoke.

As Cigarettes are ok, but ban the Vape to get people to start smoking again. I smoked for 20 years, the Vape made me quit smoking, I still occasionally Vape, least I'm healthy without smoker's wrinkles and look damn good for my age. Keep fighting Australia, happening here in America too.

How awful what is happening in Australia! I was a long time smoker and I truly believe that vaping saved my life. In a few years the medical system will look back on this time and shake their heads at the stupidity. Great job guys I was looking at vaping and importing from china about 10 years ago got some of those crappy smoke like vapes with the glowing end I lasted about 5 minutes ,and went back to smoking.Recently the vape pods with the nicotine did the trick I got into it seriously a year ago and haven't had a cigarette since now they want to take it away from me I don't cough anymore and my fitness is much better ,the gov wants that smoke tax to increase.

My last order of liquid nicotine held up by Australia Post for three weeks prior to stated delivery date, quoting unable to find at Sydney depo, Customs notified me on March 1st stating i was guilty of trying to import a restricted product and will be destroying my package . Had six days to get a doctors perscription emailed back to them which was pointless as doesn’t cover my order from said date, contacted business and they said never experienced anything like this before , thousands of orders same deal. Managed to get the maximum $100 refund from Aus Post after stating they were guilty of corrupted activity with government , and how much corruption is appearing every week , even reported on mainstream news for fucks sake, Senator Malcom Roberts is calling their bullshit out, but the purse strings only fund the existing two parties so we are unable to make any changes until sheeple of Australia wake the fuck up.

I don't want to say names, but behind all the restrictions made on the international level are the "big fish" who are losing year by year in the sales on classical cig'. This type of restriction is starting to appear also in EU countries. The level of restrictions is at the same level as the loss of sales, they will never stop.

When you send an email to your local member, make sure you list the addresses of all the pop up shops selling illegal disposable nicotine devices right this second within the electorate and demand an answer as to why those who have been doing it legally and responsibly are going to suffer for the actions of those which seemingly were never prosecuted for years in spite of existing laws. So shortly after I started vaping in 2018 I started a KZfaq channel and started reviewing products because I was full on fascinated by the rebuildable market and I was shocked when I heard that vaping could be banned in the states and I even believed it was going to happen but it never did! They just made it harder to get products from state to state but that didn’t stop me from going way overboard on buying products to get me through a few years. I don’t think this is going to be the case in Australia and I feel for them.😢

Imma vent here. This saddens me to my core. I live in Nova Scotia Canada. Where we have full vape prohibition since 2020. No flavours,60mls are 95 after taxes. I manage one of biggest chains east of Montreal since 2016. Its hard to watch others go through this. Most people will still find sneaky ways to get flavours, a lot of people see failures in the future. However this ban will increase cigarette sales within weeks. As long as the government sees an increase, they do not care if you vape. Their main goal is to purely stop cigarette sales from flat lining. Infrastructure for underground will eventually be built however that will take time. During that timeframe the gov will see an increase in ciggarette sales further fueling them to keep the ban. It may get better but it will get worse before. Workers will go from helping people to avoiding detection. They have strangled us with our seat belts.

I haven't watched all this and I'm already f#@&*3d off, 10 mil, fills my mode once (10 mil tank) and lasts approximately 7 - 9 hours. 15 yrs vapeing and feel great, no health related problems. When i was smoking i was in a bad way as far breathing was concerned, doing up my Shoelaces was like 3 laps around a football oval, Vapeing solved that problem not to mention my sense of taste and smell returned also, These clowns have no idea the harm they are about to cause to people the same people they avowed to protect, And the other thing is they can't even be honest about it, there's alot off disinformation out there rather than factual information, I would love to see their factual information on vapeing compared to smoking, but that's something they wouldn't show you, After all they want you to smoke, were else can they make billions of dollars for next to nothing.

I know people that buy black market cigarettes on a daily basis. It's half the price of legal tobacco. So they don't make any money off that black market tobacco, and it's billions of dollars. They did it to themselves. The same thing will happen with vaping. Everybody I know that vapes, has a 10 to 20 years supply stashed away, but they will still buy black market supplies if they can get them.

NY state had a flavor ban, which banned 99.9% of liquids and disposables in 2022 i believe, cops don't care here, so some vape shops still sell all products with jail and big fines! Same situation happened here years ago!

Price is major issue. I got into vaping soley on price. No harm in having a go at non-pharmacy prices. Dual use for 2years... got me to the point where I could quit (reluctantly, I still liked smoking). If I had to pay pharmacy prices at the time I never would have tried.

Re blackmarket vapes not being overly dangerous. From electrical point of view, they are the simpliest design posible (battery straight to coil and a parallel LED). They typically use pouch battery cells (battery liquid sealed in a thick chip packet styled thing), these have a much higher likleyhood of breaking and leaking into the juice compartment (literally sitting above) than any mod on the market. Mods are at least 10x safer than blackmarket disposables. Honestly, pulling one apart was the reason I got a prescription. I dare say that we will see an increase in vape related injuries if these become the more accessable hardware.

What we need is for mixers to formulate what we can add to the available flavours (tobacco, mint, ?unflavoured?) to make them tasty again. We can still buy flavour concentrates. And a good way to find those special shops indiscretely but not everyone will have access to this info.

My heart goes out to all vapers and vape shops/manufacturers in Australia. I can’t imagine a modern day prohibition that lets harmful cigarettes flourish. Maybe we’ll see some modern day rum runners, what would their name be?? Lol

I only use 5 mg juice any more than that and i wouldnt be able to vape it . thankfully the uk has not gone down this route yet .i will never smoke a cigarette again so if it did happen here id have to go cold turkey .a scary thought as u find vaping very good for ones mental health .good luck guys

You only have to follow the money to work out why this is happening, less to no Government money is the reason. This is how they are getting their cut nothing more nothing less. Ban cigarettes if they serious about protecting kids, they wont though to lucrative.

Interesting what doc said about anyone being able to come in and sell through pharmacies if registered, not that it will any good without flavours. If you end up using food flavours, just make sure they PG based and not oil based. If you can get VG/PG, then should be fairly simple to knock up some juice. Get yourself an RTA, RDA and a spool of wire.

I live in the states (California) i spend on average about 150 bucks in juices that last around 5-6 months. THIS TIME i just spend around 200 buck so as to last possibly to the end of the year if i take it somewhat slow. But after hearing all this i just might go back to the site and drop $400$ on juices cotton coils and mods/tanks. Fkk all that noise. I wouldn't doubt that Cali would end up doing something even more stupid then it already has in regards to vaping and "taxes"

if I was living in Oz after 1st march, I'd buy components (510 connectors, contacts, switches, enclosures etc.) even 3d print diy enclosures and build my own mods .. surely they can't go as far as banning electrical components .. could encourage new innovative ideas from the Aussie vaping community .. would be a blast to see some of those creations

I'm from Ontario Canada but this really hits home for me as well, I have a very good friend in Victoria and we've been online friends for years and talk daily. Anyways when we first meet she was a daily smoker and I never tried to get her to switch to vaping because of nicotine being illegal and without that personally have never seen vaping work without nicotine, not saying it can't be I'm sure many have but I still annoyed her all the time by asking her to quit smoking, I knew that I was never going to happen but I had to keep that bug in her ear and I'm glad I did because she started to get interested in vaping on her own and together we switched from her smoking to vaping in three weeks! like wow it took me three month to completely switch (it will be nine years in February, I make my own e-liquid and make and wick my own coils). I knew this was coming so I talked her into letting me teach her how to make her own e-liquid and order her coils from China and now to find out she can't get any hardware at all just blows my mind and trying to teach her to make her own e-liquid and do her own coils at the same time would be pretty hard and I really don't think she's up for that much. She tells me that she won't start smoking again but we both have anxiety issues so i'm sure she will start to smoke again just like I probably would do if I was in her shoes. I fear such sad times ahead for all the Aussie vapers and my heart bleeds for you all. :(

I thought Louisiana had it bad with our vape registry, so sorry this is happening to you guys. Hopefully thermal extraction(dry herb) devices aren't targeted so people can still achieve harm reduction while using tobacco. Where there is a will there is a way, people vaped before there was a market and they will continue to vape after it collapses.

Here's the reason for the ban. The government is addicted to the amount of money from tobacco taxes, making for about 11% of Australia's budget. As of 2025 75% of the retail price of tobacco products is solely tax; meaning the government make 3X the amount from tobacco than actually tobacco companies. Just think about that. However even though they keep raising the tax, they've been getting less than expected revenue from it. Why because it's cheaper to buy vapes. Vapes aren't taxed. The government don't make money from vapes. The government bans vapes for cutting into their own pockets. Nothing more.

PS 20mg is more than fine. 20mg is the nic limit by law in the UK. I went from being a heavy smoker straight to 20mg and it was fine. You can still buy 72mg nic online very easily though.

It's just bad for the people who want to quit smoking and make the switch to a safer alternative, which is vaping. I would always be able to vape, like by making my own e-juice, or building my own box mods, in case should all my other vaping hardware ever think about dying😉, etc. Heck even isolating nicotine from home grown tobacco leafs is an option for me if it comes hard on hard.
