Just incredible, all the work you all did to to make the Pliosaur ( philosaurus) really acessible to the nation from Phillip Jacobs initial find of the snout and then such a generous donation by Philip is amazing. So pleased you are both best buddies despite the BBC lack of credit for the actually discovery by Phillip and even his photography of the cliff to help identify where the rest of the skull might be. I love your teamwork together despite the BBC deleting Phillip totally from the discovery story

I love how the skull has a single massive tusk-like tooth sticking up from the bottom jaw like Fang from Primal. It definitely adds character.

This was no ordinary NPC Dinosaur, it's a high level intelligent Dragon. It's 3rd eye survived death and formed a protective Aura around the skull, until it was ready to be found in such near perfect condition. Incredible proof of Dragons here

What happens with the rest of the Pliosaur? Will it remain in the cliffs?

We are currently going through the motions of trying to get permissions and raise the funds to excavate the rest :)

I want to ask if the only relieble pliosaur to be over 13 tons is sachicasaurus? because ive seen many studies say that sachicasaurs is around 15 - 18 tons. Every other pliosaur i feel is dubious at best. Just wanted to know if it is true? Amazing find btw.

The four colombian pliosaurs are well preserved (not as this) but they are not from same formations. They are considerably younger and are formally in the Brachaucheniinae (here you are in Kimmeridgian than in upper jurassic, in pliosaurid family). You have another comparable in term of size with this it is the Monquirasaurus (the skull is heavily crushed and lesser well preserved). All of these animals are thalassophoneans but they are in different pliosaurid branches. Pliosaurid have a weavy jaw bone, brachaucheniinae have a straight one. In term of weight it is extremely difficult to talk about an animal that we can only imagine the soft parts. The only possibility is to transfert the data of the body outline of a final cretaceous "pliosaurid" like animal the Mauriciosaurus to have a close estimation of the body mass, with deep muscles (easy because we have anchor points) with muscles (more difficult) and blobber (almost impossible to predict the mass of it). I don't see any study that propose this and it will be only an estimation because there are a lot of differences between the Monquirasaurus and the Mauriciosaurus wich is a polycotilid pleisiosaur. All the best

Great work. Now please campaign for funding to remove the rest of the creature's body from the cliff.

5:40 Mexico? Does steve mean Colombia? Mexico has a very big one indeed, but not nearly as complete a cranium. The colombian material is closer in terms of material but also much younger.

Possibly because there are only skull parts for mexican specimens. The four colombian are much more complete.
