I'm 89 years old and I try to keep myself free from all the ailments that age gives us. So far I'm putting up a good battle, but eventually, Mother Nature will win. I live independently and need no help from anyone. I do everything myself. Being able to still drive a car is important for me to help me do a lot of things.

@@jocelynasskar972 I live alone and basically am an introvert. After years or walking an hour a day, I spend my last few years doing my exercise on a stationary bike. Do some yard work, but not to much. I do a lot of stuff on the Internet for my mental health. Diet wise, I have decaf coffee, oatmeal, yogurt and blueberries every morning. I stay away from sugary drinks, drinking only water and Turkish yogurt drink. I do keep a bottle of Mexican coke in the fridge for my rare urge for a coke, which occurs about once every 3 months. I don't eat processed food. I eat a lot of fish, whole grain, nuts, seeds and all kinds of fruits and vegetables. It is the usual healthy stuff you hear all the time. My downfall is my love of desserts. It's tough, but you got to treat them as a reward. Not having diabetes is not helping me to resist either.

Good for you, I wish you continued good health and wellness. That said, please be safe and honest with yourself about driving. I was recently hit by a senior citizen driving who was a VERY nice woman, but not only did not see me, she did not hear me honking my horn, and she did not even know she hit me. The scary thing was, there were children near by that age could have just as easily run over. My aunt, who is younger than you, who I take care of still drives and this year (even driving very limited due to Covid) has been in 4 accidents. 3 of which she did not even notice, the 4th she hit a parked car… and literally blamed the parked car. I understand mobility is VERY important, but so is safety for you AND people around you. The GREAT news is, we live in a time where there are SOOOOO many excellent options available like Uber, Lyft, and many others offered specifically for seniors by local government. Please consider one of those options BEFORE it is necessary, not after. I know many people in their 20’s and 30’s who choose not to have a car and use Uber or Lyft instead. It is an incredible convenience and affords the same freedom of mobility. To your health and safety 🙏🏻

This was good info! I'm 70, physically active and enjoy it, and still working 3 days per week as Process Engineer. I'm about to retire completely in a few months and I question if retirement is a good thing to do! The job requires planning, calculations, attention to detail. All good for the brain I would think, plus social interactions of the work environment. I am now second guessing my decision. On the other hand, I'm thinking it will be nice to have those extra days to do whatever. Hopefully not sitting on the couch watching KZfaq 😬

@@mariommendozajr.6174 I retired at 68 and went back to college. I quit because it was hard to learn, mainly because your short term memory is shot. After 85, you can't even remember what you thought a few seconds before, but it may come back a few seconds later. Learning is like a pyramid. It depends on what you learn just before. After 85, I get confused quite easily because I can't remember what I did just before. There probably more to it, but I forgot. I still got my sense of humor. Remembering words, spellings and names is a given and it occurs before 85. You become more forgetful after 85. Still, I think that I'm doing fine. At least I don't have dementia. Maybe I do, but I can't remember. I'm on You Tube mainly to keep my mind active. Use it or lose it.

It prevents osteoporosis, heart disease and dementia. All that done by me asking. NHS UK Health providers need to call in patients for check ups not wait til someone is seriously ill or has falls. 2021 and we still rely on patients finding out the hard and expensive way

This is very informative. The sad thing is most folks have poor gut health and lifestyle so adding a drug makes that worse and the issues become complicated. Dry mouth is not easily dealt with. I know and have heard worse than what I experience from others. The mouth gets so bad they end up with esophagus motility issues, severe erosion in teeth and sinus complications. The same is true with the osteo. drugs they cause brittle bones and those with sensitivites are not candidates. We need to get to causations and start there like better foods and lifestyle and simple ways that are safe to address hormone issues. I do enjoy these videos but they seem very polyanna compared to actual patient realties.

Calcium bone absorption needs not only Vitamin D but it also needs Vitamin K2 to stop calcium being absorption into the blood vessel walls and adding natural forms of Omega3 fatty acid dietary intake can promote LDL levels in the blood and thus slow down the hardening of the arterial.walls. Dietary absorption of vitamins is 5x to 15x higher than from natural foods like leafy green vegetables than by vitamins in pill forms. Bone are storage units of necessary electrolyte mineral need for the metabolism: The major bone minerals store are Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, and Sodium --- . but the metabolism need vitamin K2 to store the minerals into the bone. Vitamin D is of no value to stopping cancer unless the metabolism in in ketosis - when the body is in ketosis and there is enough Vitamin D in the blood ...Anti Cancer Autophagy process is possible. For Autophagy to occur the metabolism must have low hormones levels of Cortisol and Insulin which means low glucose blood levels are more important than vitamin levels in the blood.... that is timing of when you eat and when you do not eat is very important in sustaining health

Hi Trina, I know that supplementing D3 is a good idea. Do you know that you need a good, bioabsorbable form of Magnesium with it to work well? And always always combine it with vitamin K2. If you see D3 as the truck in your body for transport of Calcium, then K2 is the smart driver that delivers it to your bones. Without the driver it may be dumped in your soft organs and your blood vessels. I'd say that you need a minimum of 4000 IU D3, minimum 100 micrograms K2. 400 mg of Magnesium, this is some 2 or 2.5 gram of the Magnesium-compound. I myself also take Boron. Boron helps post menstrual women avoiding peeing out too much Calcium and Magnesium. If you want to do even better, make sure you build up collagen. I do this with vitamin C and l-Lysine. If you can, keep walking

This is the worst kind of information you could give to people. Pushing drugs as prevention is NO prevention but advertisment for pharma companies. If you google word FASTING it will lead you to correct path on how to prevent all things that those doctors in this clip are telling you are normal.

Quran says (paraphrasing):. Remember Allah (God), and He will remember you. If you forget Allah, He will make you forget yourself. That to me sounds like dementia. He said in Quran ( paraphrasing): " eat and drink good food & drink but not in excess". Furthermore He forbade consumption of alcohol, any intoxicant or mind altering substance, flesh of swine ( pork).... And amongst my personal observations over the years is that pork-consuming people over a number of years develop large double chins... Likely some pork related hormones in pork meat causing fat under chin preferentially... . Wow.... that's amazing how good the advice in Quran what should go inside our bodies or bellies.... and to live gracefully and age gracefully and die also gracefully.... stepping into the next world where our place is determined by the conduct and belief we hold in this world.... for the right belief leads to right conduct, and the wrong belief leads to erroneous & wrong conduct, thereby determining our places in the next life. Life after physical death....

@@roberthernandez6155 Jesus never ever said "I am god and worship me". Rather when his enemies were trying to crucify him he pled with God to save him. He tried to hide. He prayed to One God who unlike His Creation neither begets nor is begotten meaning neither does God give birth nor does God get born, nor does God die ... Neither is God powerless. God is also NOT unjust, NOT evil, NOT born, NOT multiple, NOT divided, NOT composed of some DNA.., NOT tired,. NOT weak,. NOT giving birth to son or anything... God is also NEITHER male nor female, but in the English Language the He is used to refer to God out of respect and not for gender. This does not apply to Allah.... Gender exists in the creation which gives birth, not to the Almighty One Creator... Nothing resembles the Creator and we can not see the Creator by our physical eyes. Jesus on the other hand was a man of high esteem, a man like Adam, a human like Eve. Adam had no father either, infact Adam did not have a mother either. He was the first man and the first human created by God. It's in Quran . Read it . Islam and Muslims believe in the goodness of Jesus as well...as a creation of God, as a son of Mary, a family member of the clan of Imran, cousin of Yahya, great nephew of Zachariah prophet.... May peace be on all the prophets, we as Muslims do not distinguish and discriminate between any prophet...it is not allowed. Slander against any prophet is not allowed. Slander means false accusations. They were all par excellence, highest conducts.... Original Bible has been altered by corrupt priests ( or someone) so the original Bible no longer exists but there are nowadays numerous conflicting bibles. Thus there was a need to re-guide humanity you and me included , and send another true scripture which God promised to protect from alteration and so He sent the seal of all prophets, the last prophet, Muhammed peace on him, with the last Devine Scripture called Qur'an. The original is in Arabic, not alterable.... Yes translations are in many languages but the original remains in Arabic....Read it.

@@roberthernandez6155 also I don't believe you are a Christian either because you sound so disrespectful of a prophet and say things you have not studied. If you spoke like this in a scientific meeting you would be booted out for outright lies. Don't misguide yourself and don't misguide others with lies ... It is not befitting a human being. Only Lucifer is the jealous liar, humans should not emanate Satan or Lucifer...he's a liar, a jealous one, a foolish one, a deceptor, an evil one , who accepts to have his substance in unpleasant planet rather than seek the forgiveness of God...but humans when they make a mistake seek forgiveness, not arrogance, not persistence in lies and slander.... Very important distinction
