You forgot to mention that Valkyries need spell/warden support, and because they move too fast, warden doesn't properly follow them, which makes them useless at higher town hall. A troop that needs support, but is incompatible with the support specialist hero lol

The problem isn't really the stats, their damage is insanely good. The problem with Valkyries is that their AI has always seemed to be extremely unpredictable which gets them killed way too easily.

Their ai is different than it was. She really doesn't intentionally target multiple buildings at once like she used to. Plus even they added a randomize buildings component to address Valk spam strategies.

i feel like you skipped a very important part, back in 2017 around the type the bowler was introduced, the valkyries were given another level and a attack speed buff and that made them really strong and for a while they were one of the best troops in the game

They might be the worst troop in the game, but she's still really popular in another community 😳

The issue over the years hasn't been only her stats, but how her A.I. targeting works. I have personally used them for about 3 years now as my main attacking troops, because now their stats do stack up against higher town halls being 11 and 12. However what holds them back is how they will split away from each other and try to target where grouped buildings are, which is usually on the outside of bases these days due to the amount of collectors, army camps, etc. It is difficult to pull off a 3 star, because you have to try to plan out how their A.I. will target, and take out certain other buildings to funnel them. Even then, they might just literally turn around randomly in favor of walking around outside the base. I do not even want to get to the topic of how bad they are at targeting heroes, and will basically pace back in forth in a targeting confusion and just get picked off. I do like them because of their stats and potential that they have been given over the years, but there needs to be an overhaul to troop and defense targeting in general in my opinion.

3x3 splash effect so she can hit buildings that are 1 tile apart like an edrag also rework super valks to not have rage on death, instead at 1/2 health, also a larger radius and weaker effect, but it stacks with rage spell if its at half hp, then they actually get use out of the rage effect since it stacks with rage, its just generally better, and the tiny radius makes it just absolutely useless so just get rid of that weakness

valks can be used as support troop. For example you are sending your barb king into a compartment. Adding 1 valk with him is good, because if a skelly trap is there it might stall the king and you wont get the value you wanted. A valk completely negates that

Valkyrie could be useful again with a bigger attack radius. Because right now her "splash" damage doesnt matter. No one put buildings together. With a bigger radius she couldve hit buildings with 1 space between them so she could be at least usable even if she was still bad

Probably a Good improvement for them is to widen their AOE as they level up. I wish I could tag Supercell with this suggestion. I still use them with my TH 9 attacks though.

Honestly I like the idea of them being highly skilled or more of a tactical play. I am no pro TH10 here but I am able to 3 star th11 and weaker th12 bases with my valk army (5 healers). With a siege machine (log launcher) you can open up the whole base and one jump spell. Her pathing is bad but if you can control it then its ez. Wide bases do pose an issue if they separate key defenses ex are the eagle artillery and the inferno towers. This is where the log launcher comes into play. As long as you are able to breach the wall and NO jump spell has been played they will go into these areas. They typically avoid breaking walls to get to a defense if there are VERY CLOSE or open/breached wall segments. I don't think shes bad shes just not meta which people want to call bad.

I remember when I was at TH9, my favorite strategy was mass valk smash, it was very fun and i didnt really know anyone who used them !

Town Hall 11, I used Valkyries to add a heavy unit to a barcher army in order to get town halls. Found out that they were pretty decent by using them a little and made my own army. I call it ValWiGo (Valkyrie, Wizard, Golem) You deploy a golem to soak up damage (Warden behind golem), followed by some wizards to create a funnel, sometimes a few Valkyries to assist in funneling. Wall breakers are used to break open the outer shell of the enemy base, if you can use the wall breakers to get deeper then good on you. Once open, then send a squad of Valkyries. Dont deploy every last one, make groups of them or waves. They do very well with compact bases, and I have had quite a bit of success with them. 1 golem, 16 - 18 Valkyries, 8 wall breakers, and the rest is wizards, I also carry a few archers to pick stuff off of the base.

a passive healing ability after 3 seconds of not recieving damage (5% hp per second) that stacks with other healing effects. Super valykrie: same passive healing ability but a passive rage ability when not passively healing... also stackable with other rage effects... done valkyrie reworked.

She needs to be slower and have a wider damage radius like an axe tied to a rope she swings. Then she'll be amazing! Edit - cuz the whole reason why she's considered bad is because she is extremely fast and from th 11 and above, she will run away from warden's ability radius which is essential to keep her alive and to make matters worse, she's unpredictable. So if you could slow her down and have her target buildings in a wider radius, it would fix the problem I think. Messing around with the stats will not solve anything.

the weirdest part is that valks were my main and favorite troop th7-th9. The best way to make valks work is give her a boomerang instead of an axe that goes to the nearest buildings in like a 3 square radius or something

The Valk used to be so good, she was so fast, and the pathing to go into between buildings, I think back in the day it was buffed like this to counter donut bases... but those times are no more

I would like to see them changed into a cone attack going in front of where they're facing that can reach 2 tiles in front. Could allow them to keep their flavor with a big swinging axe, but give them interesting uses by having more range as a melee troop.

I think maybe what can be done is a rework to help her versatility, where she changes her attack style if she hits one building vs multiple: Like, smacking her axe vertically dealing 1.5 dmg against single buildings, and if there so happens to be a 2nd building next to the first then she would instead change her pathing to between them to spin. For super valks, you can also change that after every 3rd swing she drops a small rage spell, as well as keeping her ability to drop one on death. With such an abysmal troop, I don't think this change should make her broken.

I use valks from th 8 and now too one of my favourite troops ❤ it is Just too nostalgic for me it always reminds me of my eager wait of th 8 back in the days when i started.

the one used of valk is a great troop to counter CC witches and stacked skeleton traps. putting her down lets her lure the witches all the way out as they slowly keep spawning more skeles

the best way I use Valkyries is that I play her with witch, skeleton spell, and haste spell. she helps the skeletons a lot with walls and buildings

It would be awesome if they buffed the Valkyrie by making their ai want to stay in large groups rather than splitting up. Only way to really make them viable to higher TH levels since health or damage will never improve them or make them too powerful.

I totally agree that they need better ai but as a th11 if you can get some wizards and a lot launcher out the Valkyries will tunnel inside the base and easily get a 3 star depending on who you attack

In my opinion, valkyries are the most underrated braindead troop in the game. I've been using them for a solid three or four years ever since I was a town hall 9 low crystal league and quite frankly attacking only became easier the higher town hall/trophy level I was. Right now I'm Titan 2 (only because I don't want to accidentally push into legend league again) and it is not uncommon for me to drop a six pack when i log on to attack twice a day. It is very rare that I land anything less than a solid two star, and I almost never lose an attack. With that said however, I do struggle sometimes against max TH14s and definitely attacks against maxed or well defended town hall 15's, but I can usually get a two star. Granted, I may be one of the small few amount of players that have mastered the art of the valkyrie as said in the video but considering how a couple other players in the clan I run have also adopted this strategy and seemed to have found some level of success with it, I think it is a matter of perception. I do recognize that the valkyries aren't very versatile and don't pair well relative to the other troop options you have and the super valkyrie is so bad it shouldn't even be in the game. While you pointed out their speed as a negative in your video, I honestly find that to be not much of a problem once I get used to it, and I found that it helps to simply speed them along with something like a rage instead of trying to make them comform with the rest of the troops in the game. My army for context right now (as a near max TH14) is 37 valkyries, 1 wizard, 2 rage, 1 heal, 1 jump, three freeze. My heroes, troops, and spells are max for my TH with the exception of my level 60 king. Most of my attacks consist of simply placing several for funneling, dropping a well placed jump spell into the core, and spamming the rest of them along with my heroes saving the freeze spells for the scattershot and eagle. You are right that the valkyries are very fast so the warden does not catch up, but I usually pop his invincibility right as they leave his range and drop a rage so they steamroll the core of the base before my warden's ability times out. Overall, the strategy works very well for me and I use it on nearly every alt I have all at different levels of progression. If you're wondering how I deal with air cc, I don't. I simply drop a rage spell and let them run it out (another benefit of being fast) and eventually my queen, champion, and warden get to it.

Defences like scattershot, mutil-inferno, and the weaponized townhall can easily take out the group of Valkyries. So, u need to carry jump/earthquake + heal + freez speels all together which is hard

Valks are honestly pretty good now with the healing tome. I use 4 ram riders and 18 valks and got a perfect 320 today in Legend League.

If they increased the hit radius and gave them more health and damage theyd be great. They just struggle to hit more than 1-2 buildings ever. I think they should have like a 3 tile hit radius.

I use them for clearing to help funnel at the start (3/4 valks) and inside seige to clear around th to help my main army clean up

only way for valks to be good is for them to target defenses because their tracking is what makes them hard to use and not ideal than other troops not their damage or health bc they are really good on that department. They will be so strong i know, but they wont be able to jump throught walls or go under them like hogs or miners so, that kinda balances the 2. Or make them like the in video throw their axes like a boomerang, but then again it would take away what they were special at so, i'd go for the 1st option. I mean, how many troops can attack defenses aside from hogs and loons? and ice/lava/golem doesnt count since their whole purpose is tanking for other trooops. it would be refreshing to see them back and a new meta rising from them instead of the same hogs/miners queen walks or whatever other strats they are used in all the time for the past YEARS.

I'm extremely used to using Valkyrie, they have insanely good stats, and their speed becomes an advantage not a nuisance once you learn to predict where they will go. They're an excellent unit if you are used to handling them

For me the biggest issue is the AI of them. Valkyries are pretty unpredictable to use and more often than not do what you don't want them to do. Their dps is okay but for that bad AI their hitpoints are way to low and they easily get killed

I think there is one other point you missed the bowlers. They can do what Valkyries do but better with less housing space.

A raged valk cluster is insane, melts a whole quadrant of a base in 5 seconds. My go to troop with no heros, can steal resources instantly and if you get to the th they’ll rip it apart

The only thing i use Valkyries for are Goblin Map base skeletons.. lol

that coupled with the fact that for super compact bases ... bowlers ... blizzard and super archer blimp get far more value

They could probably give Valkyries double damage to walls, that would help a lot. Though I will certainly try Valkyries out with the Rage Gem hero equipment on the Grand Warden since valks are my favourite troup

Any base where valkeries are good yetis are just better. I use a finger full of valkeries in my super bowler attacks. They can synergize very nicely with the champion and do fast clean up.

I think she needs some rework, my idea is: Regular Valkyrie, when she is attacking she will spin like a beyblade and when any projectiles(cannon ball or a fireballs) hits her while is doing her spinning beyblade attack, it will bounce right back to the attacker. For Super Valkyrie, same as my regular valkyrie idea and from time to time she will scream giving the troops around her a random buff like strength buff or speed buff and when she has least than 20% health she will scream giving her self a buff that her health will not drop below 1 for 10 seconds.

Super valk will be good ( I think) hp decrease,rage normal range,soace10. Work as a rage support troop.

maybe if they add life regen per hit using valk can help her

This is only an opinion from a th10 so I cannot speak for higher levels but for me a queenwalk mass valk is the go to strategy ...I benefit of the valk by beeing so fast because I can spend a lot of time on a solid queen walk and then just spam them in there with the king (with his new earthquake boots now even more efective) ... I use a lot of rage spell one heal for the core and maybe some freezes ...If you get used to that you really 3 star all the time even without siege machines and clancastle troops ...with them sometimes I even 3stared some th11s ...so I would defenetly give it a try ;)

Valkyries would probably need a major AI rework and an axe rework to give it a chance in the meta

I used to use them all the time from TH8-10…Valks tanking for hogs was fun. But then they lost a bit of speed (I preferred them zippy as traps were avoidable) and SC changed the valks sounds a bit (👎) and made them ugly. Just like they did to healers.

in the very beginning they were really good because they had lots of hitpoints. they were basically a tank.supercell reworked them entirely to high damage but low hitpoints, and this broke them.

Here's what would make Valkyrie more useful. Make the spells effect linger for few sec even after troops have left the spell aoe. Valkyries are useless because you can't reliably use spells to reinforce them. Since their unpredictability and movement speed makes them leave the aoe of the spell, Heal and rage lingering would benefit them so much.

The only place I find super valk useful is to pair her with a Pekka in my flame flinger. I've had the super valk/Pekka combo come in clutch a lot. If there's 2 heros near the th, the super valk goes down leaving the Pekka raged which ones shots each hero before it 2 shots the townhall. Or it will clear out tight compartments the same way. It's funny on defense as well because I've seen some queen charges get 1 shotted by the raged Pekka. There's no time for the queens ability to save her, she dies instantly

super valkrie should start spinning while moving that would be fun i guess

Making them faster to train is the most 'band aid' fix I've ever seen, I think it would be easier to just reduce their camp size.

She helps in farming plus pushing while heroes are down ( 2 star 30 trophy bases) simple as hell after funneling them I don't feel any need to farm after I keep using her

In town halls 7 to early level 9, they're quite decent, and that is proven by the high quantity of valk spam by some players.

Honestly in my opinion if valks were defense targeting and maybe had a damage bonus to walls they would be incredibly good their biggest weakness is their AI sucks. Their best use is as cc troops at th6-8 as defense in war.

2 changes can make valkyrie meta 1st increase its splash radius of valkyrie Or 2nd making it to defense targeting troop
