Town hall really had a glow up, from being left outside the walls for a free shield in 2015, to stopping a whole army in its tracks in 2024.

At town hall 12, the giga tesla used to do 200dps, which is more than every other defense. Moreover, it was multi-target This, coupled with its high hp, resistance to lightning and giga bomb made the town hall by far the strongest defense at town hall 12.

@@NICOCLASH in some cases other defenses are nearby so u can get good value, i once 3 starred a war base by killing eagle and some air defenses with spells before starting the attack

@@weeblordgaming6062 I did used 10 lightnings once (3 for air defense+air sweeper) and 7 for air defense, inferno and scattershot. Is that good value or was it better to destroy all air defenses?

When I push my TH10, i feel that difference from TH11-12. Not just the upgraded defences, but the town hall can mess you up, the death damage, or If you fail on taking it out. Its a pain to see it slowly taking out your troops

Its kind of a bummer that the townhall now keeps sticking with the same weapon and death bomb, like why not add a giga xbow or giga slow down weapon for troops, I think weaponized townhalls can be utiliazed a bit better

Oh please. A tesla tower is NOT more powerful than a Giga Tesla. Neither is an X-Bow. Multi infernos/Eagle may be on the same tier, but you can't degrade TH12 like this.

I fill like, you should be able to change you're town hall weapon (Tesla, Inferno or other), and the bomb (massive damage, freeze, poison er more), to make it more unique. You should change the weapon from town hall 14, and the bomb from town hall 15 and maybe unluck a new weapon/bomb every new town hall.

I wonder if they’ll add some Sun Themed effect to the Giga Inferno when TH16 fully releases, like a burn effect that lingers on troops a bit after the TH stops attacking them, or a small fiery DoT AoE around each target of the beams. Excluding the visual designs for the new building levels and the merged defenses, there isn’t really anything that’s nature themed unlocked *at* TH16, since root riders were the only nature themed thing from the update that’s not just building appearances, and they’re unlocked at TH15.

Town hall 11 looks cool , it's like a castle ,I hope they add a defense mechanism on it like lava thrower cuz it looks like it has lava on top , but I'm already in lvl 12 TH , IT has a defense mechanism but it looks boring to look at

Base designer here, the town hall is essentially a second eagle artillery importance wise. The townhall can be used for a lot of trap designs where going for the townhall first usually leads to only a 2 star while having the eagle artillery tear the rest of the army apart. Without the townhall being weaponized anti 3 star bases are significantly more difficult to design.

Giga Tesla should be a choice for TH13+, as it makes no sense to max out the weapon only for it to never be used again, except for the death bomb. Maybe TH17 update can add another weapon (maybe a Giga Freeze?) and the ability to choose the Town Hall weapon, death bomb or death spell, similar to how you can with Spell Towers.

What about making the townhall recieve less damage according to the percent ot the the attack example: at 0% the th receives 50% less damage and as the percentage increasee the damage reduction. Decreases ultimately the th will take full damage when the percentage is 50

Th15 and 16 could've been unique in having a different death bomb like 13 does with the freeze bomb; but SC didn't have enough creativity to change it from the poison bomb. The fact the poison bomb only got stronger made it one of the most hated mechanics of this game.

I mean how could they have made it have a different death bomb without making it at arguably worse. Going from a slow effect to a poison effect works because poison still applies a slow effect, and also deals damage. Changing it to any other spell though could arguably make it weaker, and just adding more effects to the death bomb (say, making it spawn skeletons like from a skeleton spell at TH15) would make it even more obnoxious.

@mailcs06 You just answered your own question. Different spell effects in relation to the theme of the TH would add more depth to the game and show that each TH requires a different tactic when it's destroyed. I recall during one event challenge it had shrinking spells placed around the map, so something similar could've been done for 15. Plus, SC never discussed why they didn't change the death bomb after 14. Few people had issues with the freeze effect at 13 because the initial damage was from the blast; any other damage would come from defenses still remaining. The issue with the poison IS the fact also dealing damage after the TH is destroyed, so you have the death bomb and the DOT after that to deal with. And since SC hasn't changed that formula the death bomb for 2 THa now with no explanation as to why has just caused more hate for the poison bomb.

@@fighter5583 Yeah but they're not going to actively remove the poison at this point, and adding more spell effects would just make it even more ridiculous. Plus not a lot of other spells make sense as a bomb.

@mailcs06 It may not seem like they do; but a little creativity can show that other spells can be worked into a bomb. The lightning spell was initially a widespread AOE spell before its rework.

Town Hall Defense Ideas: Probably not good to be CoC priority but for 2025 or 2026 Update features: The Giga Inferno, freeze, and poison are nerfed. New Feature: Town Hall weapon choosing. You can now choose which weapon you want for the Town Hall. A symbol for each TH defense will display at the top of the TH, so you know which defense you will be attacking. 1. Giga Tesla, unlocked at TH12. 2. Giant Cannon, unlocked at level 3 TH 12. This will act similarly to BB giant cannon, but will also hit air. It will activate when the TH takes damage or the base is 50% cleared like the Giga Tesla. 3. Giga Bomb, level 5. deals damage upon death. 4. Giga Inferno, TH13. 5. Giga Snowblower (level 3) This will pushback all troops around a specific radius, and will slow them down for 1 second. It deals no damage and has a slow hit rate. 6. Giga Freeze , level 5. This will slow enemies after death, but deals less damage than the bomb. 7. Giga X-Bow (level 1 Th 14). Has X-bow range, and activates after the TH is hit or 25% base cleared. 8. Giga Reconstructor (level 3, Th14). Rebuilds building in radius like builder huts. 9. Giga Poison (level 5). deals no damage, but still poisons. 10. Giga Spellcaster (TH15 level 1). Drops spells on nearby defenses (rage, heal, or immunity for 1.5 sec), otherwise acts as archer tower. 11. Giga Monolith (Th15 level 3) acts just like monolith but 3 targets and nerfed. 12. Magic Bomb (level 5). Shoots penetrating arrows like magic archer in all directions after TH drops below 25% health (not death like others for more utility than outclassing Giga Bomb). 13. Giga Eagle (Th16 level 1). Almost same as regular eagle but 3 targets one shot each. 14. Giga Scattershot (level 3). Almost same as scattershot. 15. Giga Summoner (level 5 TH16). Summons archers and wizards to defend the base after TH destroyed. Customizable TH defense, and bomb will show up as symbols at the top of town hall, and different defenses will pop up. Balancing will be hard, but if implemented would be super cool.

TH17: ERA OF DEFENSE (new trap idea!💡) • Seal Trap - When the target are in range, the hologram of eye will pop up then when the target is within it range for 3.5seconds it will sealed it for 20 seconds and unsealed it with 3seconds of poison effect. Players can set what troop they want to be sealed. - single target, any type of troop, air & ground. (heroes and siege machine are not on the list) - deals ??? damage to the target. - sealed and become a flying rotating cube, the troop inside cannot move, attack and the cube can't be destroyed and target. - it has a range of 5 tiles. [ size: 1x1 tile. ] -you can choose which troop you want to seal. - it has 3.5 seconds before sealing a target. - troop capacity upgrade overtime. ( starting with 30 capacity ) = reason because of higher townhall and huge amount of troop capacity. - I think 3 or 2 pieces of it will be better. - invisibility spell won't work either freeze. remember it's a lock target trap. = what do you think abt my idea?
