So they were planning on killing Kenny off for good at the end of season 5 (fun fact: they actually considered killing off Kyle instead of Kenny because they thought Kyle was too much like Stan, but they decided it'd be way too risky), but after some backlash from the fans, they brought him back here. I think most fans expected to see Kenny back at some point, but seeing Matt and Trey be so receptive to the feedback and bring him back after just 1 season without him was very relieving. I think the overall reception was "Alright cool, don't do that shit again, though."

5:04 Why midnight? Shouldn't Santa start delivering presents at bedtime in Australia, and end with Hawaii in the early morning? Assuming each child gets 8 hours of sleep at consistent local times (which is a stretch in and of itself), that would give Santa 32 hours to sweep through the time zones. Also, he's on the North Pole, one of the two places where the time zones converge, so which midnight is he talking about?

This was their walk back of Kenny's death this past season. The new fourth friend gimmick ended, and they decided to bring back Kenny. It was a dope moment when we got the main four back.

Since this was the Christmas special of Season 6 instead of Season 5, Santa's statute of limitations has expired for Cartman tricking Scott Tenorman into eating his own parents. There's no way Cartman got anything besides coal last year.
