@AnarchTheHedgehog They couldn't have taken it out of the PSP version. The requirement for unlocking the beast tamer class is to capture a monster. You can still capture them.

The geo-block thats highlighting the red area is 'enemy level up +10%' or something like that.

@TheOverlord55 The monster should be lower in level or equal with Adell or Axel in order to be captured in Dark Hero Days. We can't take advantage of the Neko trick in psp but we have magichange instead. I read it somewhere...

It's actually a pretty fun tactics game with a completely twisted sense of humor. It messes with some of the conventions of standard RPGs...for instance, you start the game as the person who is holding the beautiful princess hostage; she's plotting to kill you in the meantime. And, of course, the game knowingly allows you to use exploits such as the one in this video to make insanely powerful characters just for the heck of it.

That is the trick, if you have a level 100 guy, start with a level 200 nekomata, then a 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400 and finally a 9999 (This map is good cause since the nekomatas are really low level, they keep the low HP even when they are level 9999) By the way, something you should do instead of luring the monster is using the thief ability to make the enemy sleep

you can know what a base class monster is when you go create a character all those monsters/people first in line are the base class

WTF ? We can lift enemies and throw then at our gate to capture it ? I have many many hours and never tried it...

@killer4328 Capture a lvl 300 monster or a lower level one. Then capture a monster thats level 600, twice as strong as the level 300, and so on and you'll eventually have an entire high leveled army.

Silly? It was a thoughtless guess. Im not even sure whats going on. The Nekomata started at lv 20ish is leveled a couple levels each turn (geopanel effect?). Thats why I said 9000 turns long.

@Heyprinny That's exactly what I thought too! And the obvious Nekomata names are Rin and Chen, Obviously. How did I get on this thought pattern you ask? Because I was doinking around with the random name and "Yukarin" popped up. And there was much rejoicing.

They have LEVEL UP 10%. They start at level 10 (11,12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 22,...) When they are at level 1253, the next turn, they will be? 1378 +10% (level x 1,1) So its actualy maybe 100 turns.

Ok this is for the people who are a little clueless. im trying to do this myself i have a level 180 adell so instead of going for a level 360 im going to play it safe and go for a level 300, the easiest way to do this is like the vid shows have one person block th ebridge this is so the neko wastes its sp then throw it down the line and it hasnt been took out of the psp manuelito1233 because thats what im playing it on.

@janmac86 yes its true but i dont know if you got into the game so much...after beating pringer x go and unsealing the land of carnage you cant capture high level uber lord monsters anymore no matter how many tough units you have in the base panel...

The chances are also dependent on the monsters HP. If you Laharl can damage a lvl.9999 monster with a decent amount of damage the you should be fine.

around 50 i suppose, as long as you bring down the nekos defence and bring up your atk both using magic

if he is around level 50, that may be alright, but another thing to do is bring down its defence with magic, and bring up adells atk with magic

@c8shaman matters on what class it is, (example) if you try to capture a level 200 nekomata, class four, and you only have class 3, you cannot capture what you cannot have yet, you will have to go through that class 4 then try to capture it, make sense?

if you catch em you might have it easier to get some other monsters to catch because theyre already maxed lvl or maybe when you go through item world all are possible chances to make it faster

You can only capture monsters like that. Even if you only try to catch a Lv. 1 Brawler, it will never be captured.

The item world monsters are a bit more risky to capture. If you try to do this it is best to have a Mr. Gency's exit.

@KimOnCrack no you level up by 10% so if u where level 100 u would gain 10 levels then the turn after u would be level 110 and u would gain 10% of that which is 11 so then u would be 121 and so on

@Heyprinny But you can always make a high-ranking Lady Fighter and give her a Fist-type weapon. Problem solved. it's just a shame that there aren't any Parasol or Fan weapons, I'd make Yuyuko and Yuka if that were the case.

@mewmiso The psp version is different, thats why. To capture, they have to br lower than Adel's level.

make sure that you have a monster or a character that is at least half the level of the monster you are attempting to capture. on a side note only generic monsters can be captured, no humans or bosses.

There's a geo panel that levels them by +10% every turn that's in effect.

Read the description. You can capture a monster twice the level of your strongest character in the base panel. If Adell is your strongest at level 3000, you can catch a level 6000 monster. The chances increase the lower their HP is before you through the monster into the base panel.

If you're playing PSP Dark Hero Days, you CANNOT capture a monster that is of greater level than Adell, so it doesn't work anymore to get the L9999 Nekomata.

And the amusing thing about this? You can use this trick to level your OTHER characters up, since the rule of experience is "The Stronger the Opponent, the more EXP they drop when you stomp 'em flat!"

You can only capture a monster with double the Level of the strongest character inside your base. So, let's say your strongest character currently in your base panel is Lv. 1000, you can only capture Lv. 2000. If you're lucky, you could capture something a little stronger, but 2x level is the 'safe point'.

@RaiceaAndrei111 They say you can't capture monsters with "Uber Lord" titles, only Uber ones. I just maximized my Exorcist's store level and perfected a level 200 Yosh with one 19998 Gladiators in less than 80 hours from beginning of the game and my patience just got depleted. I spent so much time fooling around in the item world that I lost my interest in catching uber mons. 'Guess I'm not as patient as other gamers...

it levels up 10% at the start an enemy is like level 16 so it levels up 1.6 level a turn. at level 100 it levels up 10 levels a turn, and so forth. an interesting trick this is.

hmmm, why at co4? hmm, i train at uhh, the place under the colosseum with the strong marionette thing and 9 more dragons at the back, so i just throw my adell near it and adell walks towards it, then i just simply dark x slash it or whatever his element is, it depends, if he's -50% wind, then i use hurricane slash, and yeah, vulcan blaze for -50% fire...

in psp version disgaea 2 you cannot capture high level nekomata, even if you do the pattern lvl of capturing, if a nekomata is have a high level than adell you cannot capture it. if any you know the right pattern pls. share it.

well yeah i know about the other places , but i just find co4 is faster cuz u can finish the map in about a turn or 2 and let a single person get the exp for it. your way sounds good 2 ^ ^

you cant capture a higher class than the base one so because neko=base class it can be captured

Hey wei, for example you have 3 total characters: ADEL level 1000, Rozalin level 500, Etna level 200. If Etna is inside your Panel, you can capture a monster of level 400 or less, if Adel would be inside, the level limit is 2000 got it =]?

Get a geomaster with lots of sp to change the bonuses over and over until you get the item(s) you want, when you have all 9 ranks of bonuses at a point where you can safely do it. I was in the item world for 3 days and got two legendary excaliburs (along with much else). How'd you get a robo suit in the item world? lol

Wait, so lemme get this straight... you can capture monsters that are twice the level of your highest character? What character are you talking about? Character in the whole game? Or character that you sent out to battlefield? So does that means you can capture Laharl when fighting him?

Hey can i do this with the beast tamer too or just the Nekos??I tried that yesterday with a lvl 40 Beast Tamer...i didnt work...the Tamer distroyed the panel, murderer 5 or 6 chars of mine all around lvl 20-23 and Adell was 26 was killed too. She came out with 1 HP

@RaiceaAndrei111 Can you imagine farming 8 x 19998 Gladiators for one max levelled Yoshistuna? Given it is easy to find belts with 300 unsubdued Gladiators with the help of 100 Teachers, it's still tiresome job.

he said "twice as strong" maybe the atk, spd, def, etc.. counts too. It's just a guess, i don't really know.

umm can you do this in the psp version? and what if the strongest unit is in the base panel with a bunch of weeker ones?

when i do this I usually fusion all the nekos into one, so it tuns it really faster, but take care to not fusion all the guys on the field, because if its does happen a dark world stage will appear.

and what level should adell be? i mean trying to get a neko at that level will most likely kill everyone in the box if they are at low levels righr?

@killer4328 Your highest lvl character MUST be in the base panel for it to work.

ok guys ... my adell is lvl 89 and throw the damn lvl 132 monster (its not a boss i guess its a white dragon which can learn Nirvana and not from this lvl) to the basepanel where are about 5x lvl 81 chars ... and the damn monster destroys the panel ... and i thought the monster could be twice the lvl from the highest in the basepanel to obtain it ... so what is my mtf problem?

if the make enemies stronger bill is max, he's like level 2200+, and gives me decent levels, even up to 3-4... maybe not now coz i've leveled up much higher than before, although im just near 1000...

um i don't think it's working out i try capturing a lvl 94 but it won't let me for some reason i think i can only get a lvl monster that is low lvl then me the Highest lvl in my base is Adell lvl 87

@TheOverlord55 Well do you have Cursed Memories or Dark Hero Days? I have Cursed Memories for the PS2 and that tactic works just fine for me. My Adell was only lvl 116.

and if my max lvl char is 22 (adell) i can capture a 44 nekomata? cuz i tried to capture a 34 nekomata being 20 but it didn't worked

lol i wish u could capture humans. i know prob said this a few months agobut if you want to get to lv 9999 with our other characters catch about 5 lv 9999 cats nercor or w/e. then go cave ordeal 4 use the lift trick to lv up one of ur human characters and reincarnate that human about 10 times at the higest mana cost. then get it to about somewhere between lv 500-1000 make sure it has very good equips, unlock the land of carnage go to co4 and use same lift trick and in time itll get high lv.

You can't do this with your characters. There is no "Ally Level up+ 10%." This is an enemy only Geo Panel because only they gain its benefits.

It stands there leveling because theres a geo panel with Enemy Level Up 10% ^^
