Join us as we board the Disney Fantasy and share our experience! This was our first sailing on a Disney Cruise out of Port Canaveral. The Fantasy is an amazing ship for the first time together! We explored the kids and teen clubs, enjoyed both lunch and dinner in Animator’s Palate, the Sail Awave Party, and had an amazing first day. We hope you have fun with us, as we take you along!

The new cruise motto is…. It’s a disney cruise don’t judge me 😂 looks like you all had a great day! I am excited to hear your thoughts on line/wait times for meals and especially characters. We are going on our 1st disney cruise in Dec and I am trying hard not to build up my expectations too high so I can just enjoy everything and not compare to any unrealistic expectations that I created in my mind. Can’t wait to see the rest of your vlogs!!!

😂😂 Such a fun day! It wasn’t usually too bad to wait to get in the MDR’s. That line for animators moved really fast. We saw characters quite a bit but there were lines to get pics with them, but again not too long. Advice: Hold your expectations loosely but look for the good in all of it!

I’m partial to low stress and after years of not having a vacation, really will enjoy being taken care of by the waitstaff. So much stinking FUN!!!! Watching the cruise through the girls’ eyes brings me back to being a kid and vacationing as a family. They will remember these moments forever. Carrie- you sparkle in MY eyes!🤣😂😂 Carrot cake is my favorite dessert too, (and bread pudding), and everyone always thinks that’s weird! Next year we will have a carrot cake party on the Magic together lol. I love that you guys rode in a limo on the way there. Extra magical touches!

Bread pudding is the best!!! We love getting the seasonal ones at Pacific Wharf Cafe when they have it in DL! Definitely need to have a carrot cake party! Cake if the day party too?! 😊😂

That was a fun way to head on to the port! Awesome that you got an upgrade! We love eating in the dining room over cabanas during embarkation day. Yeah those crabs are way overrated over at the buffet. Ha! That's what I had thought about the carrot cake too 😂 I really wish I was a teen so I can enjoy their areas! They look so awesome! I'm not into sprinkles or sparkles neither Carrie. 8:30 for dinner? Holy smokes! That's snack time or 2nd dinner for us (tradition is pizza) Love the butternut squash soup from animators! I'm always dreaming about the Lemon Ice Box Pie. 😭 Alyssa man, she reminds me of me! 🙌🏻 After I eat, I always crave fries or something salty lol. Welcome to True Cruising! We have only gone on busy cruises pre Covid and we never really bonded with our servers like others have. They're super busy and sadly over worked. I have friends that work for DCL and it's nuts. But they love it! :) Great video! Can't wait to see the rest.

Thanks Venessa, ended up snacking most days around 4 or even 5 before dinner with room service, so we kind of do the same thing as you, but backwards. It’s not in this video, but we did think the crab was better this time at Cabanas. I still think I might prefer the dining room on embarkation day though. Aw gee....you all are really making me miss being on the ship again! As I think I've mentioned before, we were actually getting off the Fantasy the day you were getting on. I half wondered if we might cross paths at the time, but obviously we disembarked hours earlier. Would have been fun to run into you guys though! I enjoyed seeing the Edge and Vibe in your video as our girls are 4 and 7, so we didn't even end up checking them out. We ate SO much food on our cruise- I was uncomfortably full every night. ha ha. Looking forward to more videos! I debated making my own vlogs, but I ended up being too intimated by the idea. Took a lot of pics though!

We loved our cruise on the Fantasy (we went on the same itinerary as you)! We also cruised on the Wonder out of San Diego. We really enjoyed both ships; not sure if we like the larger or smaller ship more. Can't wait to watch the rest of your cruise.

Thanks! We loved all the options and the teen clubs on the Fantasy. We loved the ease of getting around the Wonder. It was also our first ship we sailed on too… tough one!

How did I just spend a week on the Wonder and not know you could order iced coffee in the dining rooms?!? Even in Alaska I could have used some iced coffee. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your adventure. We want to cruise DCL again - maybe we’ll just follow your ship order and book on the Fantasy. :)

101 days until our Merrytime. Love watching vlogs like yours and getting stoked for the trip. We also love the smell of the ships. Always seems strongest around the stairwells but we still haven't figured out what actual scent DCL uses. Some say its Enviroscent sea salt + aloe and while that scent is in the ballpark, we don't think its the same one used on the ship, or if it is there's some other scents at play that tweak it. If anyone knows what it is tho, please share and reply. ...And, embarkation lunch in the MDR is mandatory - we'll never know why people shuffle into a packed and noisy cabanas when they could be relaxing in AP. Also mandatory... that Welcome Aboard Sundae!

Thanks! The smell is such a welcoming part of boarding the ships. Will have to ask some crew about that sent the next time we go on a ship! If we learn anything, we’ll definitely share it! we go back-and-forth on cabanas in the main dining room for lunch on embarkation day. We kind of enjoy the craziness of cabanas sometimes! Our last cruise, we only had lunch and cabanas one day out of six, which made us a little sad after we ate that lunch, because it was really good. It’s also one of the reasons we try to get an early boarding group so that it’s not too crazy if we end up going to Cabana’s!

I think we were on the same cruise as y’all! I think I saw you filming in cabanas one day but I have been checking KZfaq to try to find y’all and it just popped up this morning. I’m thinking we were in the same because we saw the stages set up for the wish dedication as well before our 7 night! But we did see the wish on our disembarkation day.

We were on the fantasy in March .. we loved it !!! No more testing before embarkation ??? We are booked for the wish March 2023 !!!

Fun! There was testing, but they’ve changed how you can do it. We opted for an at home proctored test we did from our hotel 2 days before our cruise. Testing negative there helped us really enjoy those days and the experience of boarding the fantasy so much more than testing at the port!! We hope you have a blast planning on going on the Wish!

Hi there! We hope you have an amazing time on the Fantasy! We booked the MCO Hyatt for a day room after our very first cruise out of Orlando. In the summer of 2020. Obviously, we had to cancel it. Someday we will likely stay there!

Hi family 😊 going in November for 7 days on the fantasy. Wanting to get the rain spa for the whole week.. but no massages or pedicures n facials. So the question is... at any time for 7 days, can i go in there n soak in a jacuzzi while hours are open n go in the different showers, or do I have to book a time to do showers n jacuzzi??? Thank you so much if you can answer. But we're not doing extras... just paying for the 7 days to go in there. Worth it?

Hi there! So fun - have a great time on the Fantasy! We haven’t done the rainforest room, but if we ever do, it will be only on the newer ships. Those have hot tubs, and the more classic ships don’t have that feature in their rainforest rooms. From what we understand, though, if you get a pass for the rainforest room for the whole cruise, then we believe you can go in whenever it’s open during each day of your cruise. We don’t believe you have to reserve a time to use it. We’ve also heard that the best times to go early in the morning when it first opens or after 6PM, when most people are at dinner or a show. Can’t tell if it’s worth it, but the next time we go on the Dream or Fantasy, we just might book it ourselves…

Question. We’re going on the Wonder in a month. I thought Crush was in the Animators dining on all ships. My daughter said no… since you have done both can you tell us the answer?

From what we understand, Crush is only on the newer ships, the fantasy and the dream. I don’t believe the technology is built-in to Animator’s on the classic ships. The Crush show was fun, but we really love the nostalgia of the show you’ll get in Animator’s on the Wonder!

Edge is 11-14. If he is one year away, you can go up there on the first day and ask if they will let you sign a waiver. Shouldn’t be too much of a problem. The good part of that is that he can go to Oceaneers and Edge if they let you do a waiver!
