Shad is absolutely right. One of the reasons why we loved classic superheroes is because they teach us values in life that are worth emulating. Apart from doing heroic deeds, Superman and batman loved their parents and respect them, the same way all children should. So if fans see their favorite hero being like this, they will most likely do that too in real life even when they get older. Nowadays, what exactly do we get from these modern interpretations of superheroes? Being an activist? being gay and being full of themselves? Gone are the days that superheroes are actually heroes.

I'm not into the modern superhero trope. They're made because they thought people love edgy stuff that much as a "popular opinion" thinking it's boring and they want something that break the mold to be "original" and worship the mentality of "subverting expectations" as a form of controversial publicity. The world is already effed up, i didn't watch/read superheroes to be put in the real world, I choose boyscout any day. I stop the edgy stuff after high school.

@@LeonDeLaMoleRegardless of Shad's actual writing skills, you can't deny that what he said in this stream is true for most of us. You can't invalidate my feelings because that's exactly how I felt watching superheroes growing up - getting inspired by their actions and trying to integrate them in my own life. You may be right, and he's a crappy writer (can't say I never read his work), but I don't think he's also a crappy person. I don't agree with his political views, and his obsession with Vegemite, but I also find him relatable with his reviews on movies and tv shows (and as a father-family man!) I also like his views about AI, that it's a tool that can help us, when used correctly and ethically. My point is, we can agree to disagree. He's not perfect, but if ever I meet him in person we could definitely bond and co-exist due to our common interests. After all, that's how fandom and being nerds is supposed to be, don't you think?

I didn't have access to comics as a kid, so just like Shad, my primary exposure to X men, Spider-Man, and other super heros was through the animated series from the nineties. X men was the GOAT for me as a kid, and then I discovered Justice League animated series and that became my top. And yes, I resonate would Shad. I had multiple situations in my life where I had moral conundrums and I'd go back and ask myself "What would Superman do?". So yeah, thanks, Superman, for existing in the OG form

The reason Superman has always connected with people is because of Clark Kent. Clark is a normal guy with a job, bills and responsibilities. And anyone can see themselves in Clark, the ordinary guy. Clark could easily reveal to the world that he’s Superman and be treated like royalty but he doesn’t because that type of love and adoration isn’t real. They don’t care about the person but the personality. But as Clark he gets to know genuine love, family and friendship. While we dream about being a superhero, Clark reminds the audience what really matters.

You say anyone can see themselves in him, but where’s the episode about him staring down the end of a barrel, childless, can’t pay the utility bill, and hasn’t seen a woman naked since freshman year at a Christian Summer camp - addicted to some fast food microwave dish, and fearing for his life that someone will catch him living out of an abandoned bus. You claim representation, but I just see a man hiding from his real struggles.

Even if they have to change it for other shows or other recordings just put a little line in sharpie where you need to adjust the knob to for FNT. This really isn't a difficult thing to sort out.

I'm not a comic book guy, but it's great to see that more creators are stepping into that space with some good old-fashioned entertainment. It sounds really cool, and I hope the series does extraordinarily well and helps send a message that the comic book industry and other entertainment spheres have to take note of.

¼ Blaq is incorrect. NES: Batman & Batman Joker's Revenge by Sunsoft, Batman Returns by Konami SNES: Batman Return, The Adventures Of Batman & Robin (animated series both Konami games Sega Saturn: Batman Forever (not any other version) was wild. Those are the good Batman games prior to Arkham. Arkham games are excellent Batman simulators, i think Konami's Adventures Of Batman & Robin is a superior game. Arkham games on hard mode is wayyyyy too easy, Adventures of B&R is a fair but very difficult game and with a Konami made Batman licensed soundtrack on SNES & Sega Genesis. I know many will disagree but the opinion is valid to me if the commenter beat Adventures Of B&R.

A personal suggestion for Hawaiian pizza is to use bacon instead of ham. I like the crunch bacon offers as a counter to the texture of the pineapple and you still get the same general flavor you would from ham. If you order from Dominos try doing thin crust and substituting in the garlic Alfredo sauce instead of marinara with bacon and pineapple. Just give it a shot one time. You will not regret it.

@@JustGmakesitEZ do it dude. I promise you'll love it and you might never order a different style of pizza ever again. I even like to lightly dip mine in bbq sauce or ranch depending on my mood, but that's up to you. I guarantee you'll love the bacon & pineapple with garlic Alfredo sauce though. Everybody ive convinced to try it has fallen in love. It's a revelation.

All of Disney's Capcom releases on NES, SNES were all bangers, but the talent goes to Capcom. Chip N Dale's Rescue Rangers on NES and Goof Troop on SNES are amazing games.

2:45:58 - Thirty years ago, when I was still in college, I was taking a speech class. Our homework one weekend was to think of a fruit and how it relates to Life. I forgot all about it until 10 minutes before class began and one of my friends asked me what I'd chosen. *SHIT!* In ten minutes, I'd come up with the apple and how it relates to Life itself. In the middle of my speech, I drew a blank, and hung my head, thinking! Finally, it came to me, and I dramatically raised my head and finished my speech. The teacher praised me for my "dramatic pause." I never let on that it was actually just a brain fart!

Lois&Clark had a huge impact on me even here in Italy. i used to watch it with my father and i still remember so much of it, from the frog-eating clone of lois to the plastic dinosaur with a superman spandex that clark send lois to selling her it was superman spaceship. loved that show

While I grew up with Lois and Clark, it's been a loooooong time since I sat down and watched an episode. The most recent thing I've seen Dean Cain in is "Max Havoc 2: Ring of Fire." And while that may be a very cheesy movie, Dean is easily the best part of it. He acted circles around the main character. In fact, maybe I'll watch that again tonight...
