Lucky Penny Thoughts: I was excited to finally get to open this set. The Inspector Gadget Toys are one of the coolest toys McDonald's ever made. Once you collect all of the pieces you end up with a 12" workable figure. Inspector Gadget does all kinds of cool things. I liked the sparker a lot, then the squirt gun and extendable grabbing hand. If you had this set when it first came out, were you able to get all of the toys to make your Inspector Gadget?

I have this and I will never not appreciate it. I was really into building it and McDonald's stopped putting the parts into happy meals before I got it built and I was really sad about it. I still needed two more and my McDonald's didn't have any of them left. So my grandma, being the amazing person that she was, actually sent a letter to McDonald's asking for the vendor and they were so impressed that they did the work themselves and sent the parts in the mail to us. It was like the first thing I ever put on my display shelf.

Awesome!! Came across your video after seeing a top 15 video of McDonald's toys. Soon as I saw the Inspector Gadget toy I immediately had a massive throwback vision to my childhood. I remember only having the Sparking head/chest piece and the plier leg. I remember always trying to find the damn rest of them and when I failed, I'd just keep playing with the sparking piece. Lol This video literally made my day. Thank you man.

I'm from Quebec and my parents bought me the complete doll somehow. I remember playing with that thing so freaking long. The thing is; my parents NEVER brought me to McDonald's! I've eaten it for the first time when I was drunk in college, so it's a mystery where they got it haha..thanks for the nostalgia

The thing I really, really hated about this toy series was that it was just ONE toy. I only got one part and that was the first piece. I was lucky to get two toys from any McDonalds toy series. However, I still love Inspector Gadget, and I still even own the movie on VHS.

By the by, if you take a magnifying glass to Gadget's coat, you'll notice that it's textured with a circuit board-like pattern. When you do manage to replace the batteries, do be sure to post a tutorial!

It looks a little more like Mads Mikkelsen (Le Chiffre from the 2006 version of _Casino Royale_). In fact, I should try to hunt down a spare torso on eBay or something so I can knock the head off and create a custom Le Chiffre doll out of something.

Great video! I was blessed enough to be able to collect the whole figure when I was a kid, one of my favorite figures I own. Personally, I think the movie gets too much hate. I watched it again recently and I still love it. Sure, it has certain weird changes from the cartoon, but I dunno, I still love it. Lol. It'll probably always be the best Inspector Gadget movie we will ever get 😅 and I'm okay with that. Unless one likes the direct to tv sequel more, which I can understand, because it is even more like the cartoon(though arguably not a better movie lol). I'd give this movie a 7/10 or somewhere around there. Seeing this video makes me want to dig out my figure 🤣😁 I remember when the light and chest worked on mine, it was so cool!
