In this heavenly mix of comedy, inspiration, and family fun Fred MacMurray makes his final appearance in a Disney movie. Partnered with the incredible Harry Morgan and including so many familiar faces from Disney’s films of this era did “Charlie And The Angel” produce? Cloris Leachman, was nominated for the best actress, Golden Globe Award for her portrayal as Nettie Appleby, the long-suffering wife to Fred MacMurray‘s lead character and we also get to see a young Kurt Russell and Kathleen Cody. However, the stars of the film for me are the two young boys played by Vincent Van Patten and Scott Kolden.
Splattered throughout the film are examples of Disney’s signature special effects, utilized in car chases, supernatural phenomena and gags. We end with comparisons to other Disney films.
