Ooh I think we might have a winner for our fantasy Disneyland Trip - might have to treat ourselves to a couple of nights here - looking forward to hearing more about the hotel in general. Loving these reviews guys xxx

Sometimes you can find a bit of a deal by renting a DVC dedicated reservation...it's something I haven't done yet, but I will definitely give it a try. Thanks so much for watching. Thank you for the great room tour. We are treating ourselves and staying there for the opening. April 30 and May 1. Can't wait to experience it! We usually stay at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott(great hotel) since it really is just a place to sleep. Missing the park for over a year we decided to treat ourselves. Life is short, enjoy it!

Tiffany, I am SO JEALOUS/EXCITED FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!! Life really is short so Ben & I are definitely going to splurge on our first trip bac as well!!!! I hope you have the best time EVER!!!!!!! also, we love the Fairfield Inn too for a close place to sleep too! Great minds 😉

Wow this place is gorgeous! I can see why you were so excited! I loved the view you had as well. So you can just get on the monorail from the hotel? How awesome would that be at the end of the day when you have swollen Disney feet! The double vanity is priceless, no tripping over each other to get ready in the morning!

Unfortunately, there isn't an actual monorail stop at the hotel, but the one at Downtown Disney is pretty close if you're heading to Tomorrowland! BUUUTTTTT this hotel has it's own entrance to California Adventure so it's pretty cool. Thanks for another amazing comment, Lynne!!!!!

Love that Chip and Dale carpet! Wish I had that as a living room carpet. Everything about the room is nice. Chip and Dale are my favorite characters. If I ever visit Disneyland, I'd be sure to stay there

Hello, Thank you for this great review. We are taking our first trip in 2 years next month and I have booked the Grand Californian for two of the 4 nights we will be at Disneyland. Its SO expensive and we are Canadian so its adds to the already high price. We have also booked the Four Points by Sheraton following your comfortable bed review so thanks for that one too!

Hi Jenny! Thank you so much for your comment! I am literally just back down for my first time in 2 years and am Canadian as well. The prices are pretty astronomical right now, eh? 😜🇨🇦 I hope you have a great time…but one trick I have for booking Disney hotels is check the price for your same room and dates about a week before your trip if you want to try and save a few $$$ sometimes they have sales that come up to save you 20-25%. It doesn’t always happen, but it has saved me a couple hundred here and there. I always make sure I book the deal before I cancel my previous booking just in case. I hope you have a really good trip! ~Julia🌺

Hey! I believe it’s more of a single, but it does convert to a bed. They normally have couches that turn into a double/queen in most rooms but I think since it was just the two of us we were given this room. I definitely recommend telling the front desk your room preference when you check in since they don’t take requests when you book. Hope this helps 💕

Do you know anything about the noise level for the rooms overlooking Downtown Disney? We've got a toddler and not sure what the right room would be when turning in for the night. Thanks for your video! Very helpful.

Hi Tim! You might want to skip a Downtown Disney view room…I found the rooms to be fairly well muffled through the sliding glass doors, however, if there’s a fireworks show that could definitely scare your little one and there really is a lot of noise and music. I was impressed that the monorail passing by our room was barely audible…but fireworks might cause a fright for sure! Hope this helps 😊

I really want to stay here! I would love to also hear your recommendations on other special hotels near the park. I would love to treat my girlfriend to something special like this hotel but for a super nice stay where else would you recommend?

Hey Tyler! What an amazing thing to do for your girlfriend!!! I haven’t stayed there yet, but I am really excited to try the Anaheim Westin. It only jus ripened this year and is typically less than half the price as this hotel , but still within walking distance. If Ben took me to the Westin I would be one happy lady lol. One thing you might want to consider if you’re trying to snag a deal here though is checking out a DVC points rental website. Sometimes there are deals on dedicated reservations at the grand…but you have to be flexible. Definitely worth a look though. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions 😀 ~Julia🌺

Do any of the rooms have a microwave? No one ever shows them or talks about them at the Grand or the Disney hotel. Where can you find one?

Hi Amanda! I love your picture lol!!! Unfortunately, there aren’t microwaves in the rooms but apparently there are some in some of the common areas in the hotels according to this Plan Disney post from September 2021: plandisney.disney.go.com/question/microwave-grand-californian-hotel-466138/ I know the Disney Vacation Club rooms at the Grand Californian have microwaves, so you could always look into renting a room from a DVC owner or you could call the hotel and ask if they have microwave available for rent. I feel like they purposely make it hard to find microwaves to encourage you to buy their pricey food lol. Hope this helps :)

Is Disneyland open? (February 2021)

Hi Edwin! Disneyland Park and the Resort Hotels are still closed right now, but some of the Resort is open with a number of restrictions. Basically Downtown Disney and Buena Vista Street in DCA is open for shopping, and as of tomorrow (Feb 5th) some restaurants are re-opening for outdoor dining. I hope this helps! It's good to check out the Disneyland website if you're planning a visit to stay up to date since things are changing all the time: disneyland.disney.go.com/en-ca/experience-updates/

I have visited the hotel lobby a few times over the years (pre-COVID of course), and have been wanting to stay there as a guest...its been my dream for years. But I do agree it is a special treat since it is very expensive. Thanks again!

It is pretty ridiculous...I could only afford it by offsetting it with a super cheap hotel for the first few nights of my trip, PLUS it was a super special occasion.

I don't know how many of the guests can afford it but we wanted to stay there and we simply budget an amount every month until we have the funds. We are visiting this August and the rooms are over $700 a night. What I do not understand is how in the world they can charge $35 a day to park.....this just blows me away..

I must be the odd one out here. These rooms seem so outdated! I understand the theme is rustic but this is Disneyland’s crown jewel? Oh heck nooo.... where is the rustic luxury for these prices.

Oh my gosh Kimberly....you are not the odd one out. I wouldn't pay the prices they're charging right now. Luxury???? Definitely not....but it is the most 'upscale' of the Disneyland hotels. I recommend anyone wanting more luxury to stay at the JW Marriott, Radisson Blu or even the Anaheim Westin. Thanks for your comment!
