The Setting
Round up your settlement and sail across Bay Lake to a time of pioneers. Nestled on 750 wooded acres inhabited by enchanting wildlife, Trail’s End Restaurant is one dining destination you’ll want to allow plenty of time to reach. Getting there is a trailblazing adventure unto itself!
At suppertime, mosey on in for all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets featuring pecan-smoked brisket, rotisserie chicken, andouille, fingerling potatoes, corn on the cob and green beans. And before you bid us happy trails, be sure to try our covered-wagon sundae-featuring a wagon-load of ice cream, brownies, cookies and chocolate-covered bacon.

Looked like a perfect day! For marshmallows, I like them golden brown all around with about 35% char, a crispy exterior shell and melted the whole way through.

The Trails End food looks so yummy! We stayed a the cabins once but never got around to eating at Trails End. We were not there at the hours it was open. When we get to come back to WDW I would love to eat there. Thanks for sharing this video! Hi Jackie! Good to see you in Nate's video.

Happy Sunday! Many years ago we stayed at the cabins at Fort Wilderness. We rented a golf cart and it was a blast! Great video showcase what they have to offer. Makes me want to go back. The horses are gorgeous!!

Great video Nate and an excellent review!!! Every trip we always eat at Trails End after looking at the horses. We love Trail's End and so glad they've opened back up. When you showed the menu the first thing I was thinking, "NO fried chicken!" We love their fried chicken, so it's good you can still request it. By the way, no throwing marshmallows at Jackie. :)

Had a magical week visit in a Ft Wilderness cabin with my family in Feb 2020 just before the lockdown. Staying here and taking the boat to the Magic Kingdom is the best of both worlds- a real vacation.

Love your video!!! We love to stay at Fort Wilderness in our RV. We have also stayed in the cabins. We have rented the golf carts in the past but we usually bring our bicycles. It is so much fun to ride around the campground. The holidays are so much fun at Fort Wilderness. Everyone decorates their campsite. Glad to hear you can still get the fried chicken at the Trails End. We will be at Disney World in September but not bringing the RV this time so we will not be staying at Fort Wilderness. So sad that the Hoop Dee Doo is not open yet. Best cornbread and strawberry shortcake ever!

Trail’s End is our favorite breakfast spot, when the buffet is up and running. We also love Hoop-Dee-Do and P&J’s takeout! Boy, Pioneer Hall has such great food options! Can’t wait to return to the cabins next month! 😊

This was SO awesome Nate!! I'm so happy you guys went here, I'm super missing the campground. We were blessed with an upgrade from ASmu to a cabin 4 years ago. By far my fav disney memories (and we have many!!) I wish I could gift you DVC points, but I'm not a member lol BUT, I DEFINITELY recommend you staying for Halloween OR Christmas. One of my fond memories is us and our 3 kids going on a golf cart looking at all the Christmas lights. Getting Hot cocoa and it was just so Magical. I would love for you to have these same experiences. Of course, I'd love the video of it as well, but I just know you'd enjoy it so much! AND Gracie too!! :)

We were there last night for dinner! They were mad busy. They were backed up ranging from 30 minutes to an hour and more. I think we were seated about 45 minutes after our reservation time and I saw groups that showed up to their table over an hour after their time. But the food was good the service was great and it was such a good time!

Another great vlog! I was at Trail’s End for breakfast on opening day and it was fun to see Fort Wilderness! You are such a great sport and have a good time no matter what but I think Disney is incredibly cheap to charge for marshmallows. The guests there at the campfire are, for the most part, staying at the resort and paying top dollar to do so. The others there have paid to dine. It is embarrassingly cheap on Disney’s part to charge for the experience. 🤨 You, as I said before, roll with the punches and always bring the bright side to every experience. I hope your Gracey gets to come with you to Fort Wilderness soon. Thanks for being a great host as we follow your adventures.

We may make an ADR here! Food looked great! Not sold on the dessert, but honestly I eat enough other sweets while on vacation anyway! I like to roast my marshmallows very slowly. They get melted and then I get them a golden brown. Delicious! We roast them when we have a bonfire on the beach! We took a “sleigh ride” through Fort wilderness one Christmas season! It was amazing! The campers go all out!

We have a couple of non-park days scheduled for our upcoming trip and I definitely want to visit the Fort to see the horses and eat bbq. Thanks for the great idea!

That looks like a GREAT MEAL!! Believe it or not, I've only had Fried Chicken twice in the past dozen years - both at Hoop-De-Doo!!!! Gonna have to go to Trail's End this trip!!!
