EA & DICE literally took the things that made battlefield great and flushed it down the toilet or completely downgraded them. I really don’t understand how they could call this game a “love letter to its fans” when the game feels nothing like battlefield. This game is such a smack in the face to hardcore battlefield players and it’s core audience it’s unbelievable.

The biggest missing “feature” that no one talks about is BFs music… one of the best parts abt BF1 was its music and for 2042 we get what sounds like two plates scraping together

I encourage everyone to do so while there is still a considerable amount of players so you can enjoy the multiplayer experience of the best Battlefield to date.

On bfV and Bf1 the take down with melé were more more better, they used diferent killing animations depending how the enemy was standing or siting or laying down, bf2042 made me really sad seen this crap animations

For me removing the first person melee executions was a slap in the face. It made it feel gritty and personal when you got up close and person with an execution. Now we have these poor examples where apparently we are helping the enemy up before we execute them and doing it In third person 😩😩😩

5:12 I really liked the dog tag system in BF4 and BF3 and hoped it would make a comeback. Whenever I saw a guy who was not facing me or prone I would usually run up and knife him to see if I could get new dog tags or to just get the satisfaction. Now Dice creates these generic dog tags and makes it to where I don’t even want to try and melee a dude to get them because I know its a waste of time. I also hoped they would bring the knife (quick-time events I guess?) back where if a guy ran up on you and tried to kill you with a knife you could counter attack and kill him but now you just have to run up behind somebody and get a kill with no effort whatsoever

Went back to BFV on Playstation a week ago. A lot of active FULL servers. I was also harsh on BFV but went back after BF2042 was a let down (I hope it gets better.) They could've just reskinned BFV with modern weapons/camo & that would've been better than what we got.

Every Dev and Designer should have to play one full week of each previous BF title before they get to start designing/programming so they understand where the franchise came from and what made it great.

6:18 i really miss different animations for different positions. Also executions in BFV felt smoother and more responsive. You could see them from different perspectives, they were shorter and happened immediately. Now you need to wait sometimes even a second for the game to just change the camera position of only two players and do the animation. I don't mind third person, I just want them to work properly. About that prone thing, I have a simple solution. If the animation takes standing player down to ground, and that player is prone, don't pick him up from the ground, just cut the first part of the animation when he's standing so it starts "after takedown"

In essence, battlefield franchise was hijacked, kidnapped, beaten, robbed, and left at the side of the road to die. I was made by ppl who never made a battlefield game before or even played one.
