The scene of the three wise men offering gifts to a newborn Jesus was widely painted during the Renaissance era, so how did painter Sandro Botticelli create a version that's still well known today? James Earle describes who and what set Botticelli's Adoration of the Magi apart in the annals of art history.

I love that there's so much more to the paintings and the artists of that era had to tell us, if we would just take the time to look at it closer. I noticed someone else on the left crowd looking at the viewer , i wonder who he was.

I see Botticelli standing there, his posture reminiscent of a tour guide. His expression seems to be asking "what do you see?"

At first I was thinking "this James Earle guy is stealing Amor Sciendi's schtick! He even has the voice down", then my brain woke up and read this comment.

The truncated title ended with "James Earl..." I clicked hoping it was James Earl Jones.

One caveat: "Medici" is pronounced MED-ee-chee. The accent is on the first syllable (ask an Italian!). The rule is that the accent is always on the next-to-the-last syllable, except when it's not.
