Kakashi is just Obito’s friend, he not his best friend, Kakashi just recently became Obito’s friend at the bridge. When Obito was engulfed by the boulders, some of Obito’s finally thought were “Kakashi...just when we finally became friends”. They never got a chance to become best friends because things went south after Obito met Madara.

@@nabilshah9184 He didn't though. Even after he's got the Juubi and he no longer needs Naruto, Obito still tries to kill as many shinobi as possible. Then there's also other shit like him participating in the Uchiha massacre, sending Sasuke to the 5 Kage Summit or sacrificing Danzo's bodyguards as an experiment.

@@hyypio764 He wanted to kill as many shinobi as possible because he wanted to break naruto, at that point in the story he was deeply bothered and angered by the fact that naruto is still believing in his comrades inspite of neji’s death, obito clearly was deeply conflicted as shown with his mind wandering to the idea of what his life would have looked like if he went back to the village, those train of thoughts were caused by naruto himself and they are affecting his judgement, that is why he wanted to break naruto’s morale by killing his comrades just so that he could prove to himself that the path he had taken was correct, which of course was not right and he had failed completely. As for the uchiha massacre, he agreed to participate simply because he made a deal with itachi, and imo I believe that he showed no remorse in his participation with the massacre simply because of how he was treated when he was still a kid, remember that obito was once hailed as the black sheep of the uchiha which means that he was viewed as a disgrace to them, and as a result they neglected and abandoned him. As for the two others, yeah I agree that those two were unnecessary and the part where he sacrificed danzo’s bodyguards for the edo tensei is just too cruel.

@@MigIgg I don't think a "benevolent" person would try to resolve their moral conflict by trying to massacre thousands of people. Particularly if said person's ultimate aim is to "save" them.
