I think the war arc the concept of it was good but the way it is turned out too much that was going on. The reanimations was a good idea and everything but too many of them. it didn’t feel like Naruto it’s not like a different type of show.

@@Yosemite_sam694 yeah. It was basically hyped since it’s introduction to be the end of the world. And the fact that it was easily tameable from a mortal has been the biggest disappointment for me. To fix the Ten Tails, just take out the Kaguya part, have it play out, then when Madara fights Naruto and Sasuke, have it take over once all it’s power is restored. It could play on the theme of human shouldn’t try to play God as well as taking care of nature vs. abusing it. Considering Madara and Obito treated the Tailed Beasts like literal wild animals, the Ten Tails could represent nature not being able to be controlled and flip the script on Madara who severely over-estimated his powers. Should be implied even more that Hagoromo and Hamura were BARELY able to defeat the Ten Tails. With that being said and even being at SO6P level, Madara shouldn’t be enough.

I'll admit Madara was being pushed by Sasuke and Naruto, but all you'd have to do is give him a couple unique abilities by having both Rinnegan - both of those Rinnegan were Sharingan, and following Obito's and his message about both eyes coming together he should gain a lot more than what he did. I'm curious what his Susanoo would have looked like with Ten Tails chakra, or if he could use his unknown MS abilities. Oh well.

@@ghaziyacoub6049 See, that's the problem; while she was mentioned, she was never shown to be a truly significant character, with anything representing her influence so long after - if I remember correctly the Valley of the End was made by Madara and Hashirama, plus you saw a giant bloody statue about the guy during one of og Naruto's most emotional moments. The Kaguya Clan was never given any relation to Kaguya herself aside from the name and the Kekkai Genkai. It's also her influence on Madara, a character that is far more fleshed out and understandable, and Black Zetsu, a creature who until that point fit his role as a servant. As said in the video, she doesn't really add to the story in a major way - she literally just took over what Madara was doing, with seemingly no deeper reasoning at the time (adding context later isn't the way to fix this, as it just makes people angrier).

Okay I have seen this tale, at least the Studio Ghibli version of it. I am curious, how do we go from a girl from the moon who is forced into a lifestyle by her parents she didn't want where she is relentlessly pursued by suitors to a point where she is taken back to the moon relate to Black Zetsu manipulated all ninja to recreate a demigod and take over the world. You say its about all humility, and I won't deny that I see a connection. Madara believed he was the savior who could create a perfect world and Kaguya did not wish to have a royal lifestyle as a noble's wife. However, I just don't see how one relates to the other outside of the overall theme of humility and some imagery. I don't want to be a jerk, I genuinely want to know. Again I have only seen the Studio Ghibli version, so perhaps there is more to the tale. The last thing I will say is this, for this Asian tale, there was a lot of random Old Testament in Naruto: The God Tree, The Forbidden Fruit, Indra/Ashura being Cain/Abel. Not saying you cannot mix mythologies to make something new, but it gives the impression that Kisi was just making stuff up as he went along. And even if Naruto Kaguya is based on this myth, I don't believe that alone justifies her inclusion and narrative execution within the story.

He didnt have any dynamic or relationship with the main characters the way obito, pain, or orochimaru did. All he has is EPIC BADASS OP POWER, which is not appealing to me. His backstory with Hashirama is fine but does not inform his motivations or character in the present. The real reason why I say Madara ruined naruto is that almost every detail about his character was a dumb plothole, or retcon that cheapened the rest of the series. To give one example, I think Madara having the rinnegan and nagatos eyes being madaras eyes all along is an awful writing decision. It makes no sense why an elderly madara would have zetsu implant his eyes into a child in a war torn country and just leave him there for 20 years when theres a very good chance he'll die and madaras plans would be ruined. It retroactively makes Nagato less interesting, and makes the rinnegan far less cool all in seevice of just making Madara more stupidly overpowered.

He was reaching end of his life so after he summoned Gedo Mazo to sustain his life force he knew he has to find someone who can at least wield the Rinnegan before he will rot to death in that cave. It had to be Uzumaki or Senju to be sure that person would have enourmous chakra reserves and both of these clans are nearly extinct. And in case Nagato would die or he wouldn't have Obito as his student - he always has Zetsu as backup plan to do the job instead. Of course his plan wasn't exactly that detailed but to be honest I don't know what else he could do.

I agree - the main problem imo is the lack of any meaningfull theme or conflict besides "Stop bad guy" After Naruto v. Pain i thought the rest of the show would be: naruto changes the shinobiworld to defeate hate/reveange by saving sasuke from his hate - that was the point of the show until this point. BUT NO: Sasuke becomes "good" by himselfe and they forget about the bad shinobiworld. The real hero is kinda obito since he pulls a lelouch lamperouge and unites every Village at the 5 kage summit. After that DBZ starts.

The main problem, besides the plot holes, with Madara's character and why i consider him to be a poorly written character is because his backstory, personality, and motives are all completely disconnected. His motive is to create a dream world because he believes thats true peace. Yet his personality is that of a DBZ villain, taking joy in fighting and murdering thousands. For example, if madara truly cares about the dream world it shouldn't matter if its him or obitio who does it, so why would he plan to fight juubito and steal the ten tails for himself. So his character and motives are mismatched. If madara is supposed to be a deep philosophical character, then that needs to be shown through his actions and dialogue and not just be a flimsy rational. Also his backstory does not inform his motives. By that I mean you're given no reason or explanation to why madara would come to the conclusion of infinite tsukyomi. With Obitio you understand why he's doing what he's doing. He's basically insane and has rejected reality due to all the tragedy he suffered. You don't get that with madara. If Kaguya stated a couple times that she believes what shes doing will bring true peace, but otherwise all her actions and dialogue is the same, would you then say she's a well written character? That point about the rinnegan was just an example about how many plot details about Madara retroactively ruin parts of the series. The idea that Nagato's eyes were madaras all along was clearly never planned by kishimoto. So the retcon that they were is a slap in the face to nagato's backstory and character. Also, I never said i didn't make sense for madara to find a new host for his eyes. It doesn't make sense that he would just leave nagato there rather than kidnapping him and raising him. And if you're gonna imly that zetsu was always there watching nagato to make sure he doesn't die, then again that just ruins his backstory. Nagato is no longer the story a random child born with the powers of a god, growing up through war and experiencing every pain imaginable. Now its some kid because he has high chakra was given these magic eyes and was manipulated his whole life by team madara to become evil.

@@The_Wonders_of_Engineering Your entire first paragraph is answered by The Contradictions of Madara Uchiha (Hope and Hypocrisy in Naruto Part 2) so I'm 100% positive that you haven't watched it or couldn't understand it for some reason. Explanation to his conclusion that Infinite Tsukuyomi is the right answer? Did you even watch his entire backstory? How after Konoha was founded, Uchiha oppression has started (which is proved by both conversation Hashirama had, with Madara and with Tobirama) and Madara eventually called it nothing but quieter form of conflict. In his mind mutual understanding was virtually impossible and this entire union between clans - pointless. His family was dead and his clan turned their backs at him. His backstory has way more reasons than needed for him to be bitter enough to see something as Infinite Tsukuyomi as the right answer to the world that is filled only with conflict, in every era and regardless of revolutions like ninja villages. And Obito wasn't "insane", he was nihilistic. I don't even really get why would somebody criticize IF as something 100% melicious and evil. Part of the fandom agrees with that concept same as part of society in Narutoverse after the war ended. You don't have to be insane to agree with that. I didn't try to imply that Black Zetsu was his guardian, I rather meant that he could take his eyes back if something went wrong and he died. I don't exactly understand how do you imagine Madara "raising" Nagato. But same as you can criticize his backstory to be ruined by him being part of bigger plan, same can I criticize Nagato for being "a random child born with the powers of a god". It's a setting where everyone has power for some reason, they developed it, they are from some clan, they are Jinjuuriki, they have some awesome master. To me, boy from civilian family living in some shithole, being completely randomly born with eyes known only from legend about some demigod is less compelling.
