I know that it's hard to imagine in this world filled with optics that one would want rifle length iron sights yet dissys are a prime example of improving the AR platform.

I took a genuine GI bayonet and had a local welding/machine shop cut it down 1.5" so it'd fit on my 13" SBR. The handle (plastic slabs cut to fit also) is still grippable, and it looks awesome!

Don't know about your specific model, but as far as I'm aware, the Mossberg 590A1 takes the same bayonets as anything M16-adjacent, and as such an M7 or M9 bayonet would be ideal.

When we did bayonet training at Ft. Polk, in 1986, I had my grandfather's WWI bayonet modified to fit my M-16A1. Quite the site to see that bayonet being used.
