Jews lived in that land centuries before Islam was even invented. The whole region changed “ownership” through blood, the empires of Egypt, Greece, Romans, Babylonians, Persians, Ottomans (Turks). I am curious Eric how the great commission, the gospel of Christ is viewed and applied in the minds of modern Christians when it come to the Israel / Palestinian conflict. Does God not love the Arabs? The Arabs that have become Palestinian. The region before is was given to Jews as a home land after the 1 WW was called Palestine. The Arab people who occupied the land were called Palestinian because the land was called Palestine, not Israel. The problem in the region is complex. But, one thing is for sure is the ideology of Zionism has created an apartheid. It is not gospel centred. It is based in the old covenant and doesn’t acknowledge the truth of the gospel which is a gospel of peace and salvation to all nations, people, kindreds, tongues. Why oh why are Christians not praying for the salvation of the Palestinians and for the Jews. There is no hope without God’s gospel of salvation from sin …in that part of the world …or in our part of the world. Please read the book of Romans, the book of Galatians and the book of Hebrews.
