When i cant focus i write my prayers down. Iv noticed that this has improved my prayer life and i get answers faster, so iv stuck with it. It works wonders and cuts the distraction because your focused on the pen and writting whats in your heart

I needed to hear this because the things I'm distracted by mean NOTHING! I NEED God to be front and center. The flesh is formidable but the spirit has to be front line or I'm going to perish. 🥺😔🙏🏽

Oh my goodness!!! This short is a "God wink". My Lord heard me discuss this very same thing with Him this morning as I apologized for my lack of enthusiasm to just read His word and sit with Him. Thank you for using Jackie's video to let me know you heard me. 😊 Our wonderful Father understands and He meets us where we are. Thank you Lord for always letting me know that you hear my prayers. Jesus, hear my prayers these past three years have been difficult on me I am weak. Give me guidance. Please come back soon I don’t know how much longer I can hold on. As a single parent things are hard on me both of my sons are autistic and my hours to work are limited because I’m now homeschooling them. I’m constantly struggling to provide the basic necessities for them I’m so ashamed. I suffered an heart attack and I’m battling lupus I’m overwhelmed. Father God hear my prayers. I constantly struggle to pay my bills and struggle to provide groceries. BUT I KEEP FAITH. Even though I want to give up. Jesus please take the fear from my heart. Father God it is you that gives me the strength to keep going. I praise you Father even as I fear homelessness please continue to give me strength.❤

I didnt even know how much I NEEDED this video. I had no idea or, at least, it never crossed my mind that silence, alone with God, was an option. I would feel so bad, like Im being disrespectful or something so I'd just stop and do something else. This was a refreshing and empowering word bc it's so hard to calm my mind down so I would opt to not pray or pray when "when I could". Im not putting my words together, correctly, at the moment, but I just want to say thank you for this word and it was something that I didnt know I needed to hear. :-)

This is too weird. Just this morning, I wondered out loud, why can't I stay focused when praying. Glad, to know I'm not alone.

Thank you for sharing this. It is a struggle I have been having, in my walk with the Lord. The devil is quick to take advantage and tear me down for getting distracted and not being "perfect". He tries to make me feel guilty for not focusing on God 100% 100% of the time. I am comforted in knowing that I am not alone and that Our Lord and Savior has put this on your heart to share. ❤❤❤. This is so true. I don’t know how many times I’ve started to pray and the next thing I know my mind has wondered to something else. It can be hard to quiet the mind sometimes.

My book just came in today. I can so relate to this. My mind races constantly and even when my intent is quiet time with God, my mind still races with thoughts and questions and random facts. I will add a prayer for a quiet mind so that I can connect with God on a deeper level. Can't wait to get into this book.

Hey Jackie, how do my friend and I go about meeting you in person one day ?

I don’t really know if this can work. I’ve been trying to search on how to actually pray since I’m relatively new to the faith. I’ve secured a quiet place, taken away my phone and have just waited. Expecting Him to come. I asked Him to teach me how to pray. I heard nothing. We can’t blame God for our problems, but at the same time I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I hope someone can reply to this and give me some advice because I almost cried this morning when I couldn’t hear anything from Him.
