I love the colour blends,❤ love how you compare them incase we have similar. I don't know if you're having a dark day because your lighting is really harsh and ultra bright leaving shadowy hands.

Okay, I surrender! Tried Tim Holtz inks -- started with the cubes; they were dry and stamps needed multiple applications to be visible. Ugh. Might have been the Cubes, might have been their age (they *were* on sale), might not. Ink blending was a disaster! Decided I'm just not much of a crafter and stuck with die cutting and colored cardstock for months. Other brands of ink pads were slightly more successful (probably due to being full-size), but my ink blending never improved...not with Tim's applicators (flat or domed), sponge daubers, expensive brushes, or any of the other options I used. ONE LAST TRY: Picked up some Oxides on sale...and suddenly, I'm an ink blending diva! Smooth? These inks are like satin...never got any streaking, and they dried to perfection. I'm using cheap brushes I found on Amazon, and the result is sheer beauty. Lou, you've won! It took me watching your videos all the way to the "S"s, but I'm an Oxide convert and never going back. Thanks for convincing this old curmudgeon to give it one last go...

I appreciate your journey with these inks. I own both sets inks/oxides. I thought I was saving money by getting the smaller cubes (obviously talking about the regular Distress inks), and I recently swatched them all out and am fairly disappointed with the dryness of them. I too purchased most of mine through sales. Maybe I too got older stock. I wish I had just gotten the regular size. But I think I’m just going to slowly buy the reinkers, because I do like that the smaller cubes take up less space.

Lovely colour combinations but not so easy to follow this time as you appear to have changed your lighting, so there is a lot of shadow and glare. For me, this was altering the colour of the blends each time you moved the card or your hands.
