That sounds like a You Problem... Today we became Helldivers and began the important work of distributing managed democracy across the galaxy. There are bugs and automatons at our backs but it may be our own friendly fire that causes the most setbacks and our own heavy ordnance that is most likely to get us demonetised...

General Brasch is played by Todd Haberkorn who plays the Drifter. Ray Chase is our extraction pilot who also voices Mithrax Ike Amadi is the Democracy officer who is also Javik from ME3.

@Delithara Yeah, Haberkorn leaned more into spunding like Robert Patrick and less like a Cajun. I can almost always recognize Ike's voice, but Ray genuinely threw me.

Any form of government is going to rely on force one way or another. We democratically decided that murder is illegal and will forcefully take your freedom. Gears of War explores a similar thought. That for years humans were expanding only to find out the Locusts who already occupy the same planets. So who are the real bad guys?

So i think i figured out why this game keeps feeling so hype. The way each mission starts has that first mission energy. Giant set pieces, explosions, a constant stream of action. It just feels so good. I dont know why this hasn't been a thing yet.

The lore is literally being written as players are dealing out copious amounts of democracy. Unless you go off of the first game which would give background for this one

To answer Byf's question, I believe that the Automatons were created by the Cyborgs from the first game.

I'm pretty sure the reason the escort civilians mission is so hard is that on the map it's listed as 40 minutes, but once you load in only 15 minutes remain. So the enemies start spawning like the mission is nearly over. On top of that, the enemies that would normally be on a big map are limited to the small space of the town.

Imo that's not true. Once the objective is done, everything is back to "normal" patrols, and searching the map after that for points of interest is pretty easy after that. I just think that mission type is overtuned to give the feel of a real automaton threat and evac under fire.
