"It's funny how success seemed to validate things"- David Draiman So true

Lol, so true. He was from a very traditional, religious family, still under the impression that he was on a path of "Sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll" When in reality he's a very well spoken and decent family man that happens to have a passion for music.

It depends what stage of labour. It's not uncommon for women - especially in first pregnancies - to chug along for hours in the early part before they get into so-called "active" labour rather than "latent" labour - which is usually around 3-4cm dilated (out of 10). In some cases yes, those early stages can go on for a couple of days but if her waters had broken, and she was in active labour for nearly 24 hours, that's a whole different thing. (There's no real scientific consensus that weather changes cause spontaneous labour, despite what David says - many L&D staff believe it, but then, many medical staff also believe in the full moon making people crazy too, and that's been definitively debunked.)

I speak in a whisper.. really bad time for it because all think you are sick and contagious, but you're not. Vocal chords are burnt.. really bad side is the acid burns into the side of your throat and can put holes in your esophagus and that is deadly. So yeah back to testing and figure out what to do this time... happy he has his under control!!!!

When he was talking about the Prayer video I got so mad. Censorship has gotten out of control, seriously. Kids don't need that kind of so called "protection", not with drug dealers in middle schools and kids being able to watch porn on school computers. I mean come on, that video is beautiful. I tried keeping my kids innocent and its just not possible with out locking them away in a hole in the ground. And the things they think need censoring are just ridiculous, but then again I could go on for ever about what's wrong with the world. Great interview, great band, great man, keep this series alive.

@Jason McDonald You can't honestly blame over-sensitivity on liberals, in this very interview David was talking about how his very traditional family did not support his career because they were sensitive to the rock and roll shit and how his traditional high school wouldn't let people look at a newspaper because it might have an underwear advertisement. The word "conservative" itself basically means "rejection of newer attitudes" including the resistance of changes toward freedom of communication and lifestyle. That being said, the liberals you are talking about also have their own brand of sensitivities which they also need to get over. Both sides are fucking stupid and need to grow up. The only sane people are the moderates and the people who lean gently to one side or the other without feeling the need to say every problem in the world is due to the crusty old conservatives or the snowflake liberals. And you statement about "you never heard about TV stations doing this before" is just flat out ignorant. Remember when TV stations would only film Elvis from the waist up because his hip thrusting was too offensive? It's old fucking news, things sway this way, things sway that way, but everything really stays the same.

It's amazing how someone can seem so dark, but is actually a brilliant light. You are a person just like the rest of us and don't take fame to a non human level. You are true and unique and that is nothing but awesome. I appreciate that your genuine. Glad for all your accomplishments in your musical life and regular life. Wish you and your family the best.

So one time, my ex/best friend got to meet David VERY briefly. It was either right before or just after a concert and she had written a poem that she wanted him to read. She managed to run into him as he was heading back to the tour bus and told him basically, "Hi! I love your music and I really respect you as an artist. I just wanted you to read this." After that, she saw him walk back to his bus, lean against the wall, read it for a couple minutes and then folded it up and then slid it into his pocket. So cool. XD

Wow, I've watched part one and mostly through part two. You listen to the sound of silence, hold on to memories, reason to fight, etc. and think these songs are amazing and inspirational. They are. But to have the privilege to hear these two documentaries and an insight into the person telling it like it is/was is pure gold. David Draiman you are my hero ♥️

I will never forget the first time I heard his version of the Sounds of Silence (on the car radio), I told my son to turn it up immediately!!! All these years later, the song still gives me goosebumps! I bought the album for a 5000km road trip and the lyrics being apocalyptic grabbed me so now for many years I've been learning about this amazing man, who uses his platform to warn the world of the evil within it, that is only getting worse. Yahweh has blessed you David, you great man!

Its extremely painful but hes got it under control so its not hitting his throat anymore. Thats good at least its so uncomfortable and painful and overall just not suitable for everyday living. Glad he got started on a strict strict diet and sleeping pattern and so on because he probably wouldnt be singing if he continued to abuse his body.

I think everybody talking about his voice and how well he speaks for himself helps cast aside the notion that metal performers are immoral or bad people. It's just a music genre. The people in the metal community are actually fantastic people. Sometimes the biggest freaks are the realest people.
