You mentioned you have heard Down With The Sickness, so you know what the band normally sounds like. That makes this song even more impressive. David is an extremely talented vocalist. Thanks for the reaction! BTW, Paul Simon himself put his stamp of approval on the cover.

It's been said that Simon & Garfunkle's version was a warning to humanity and that David's was outrage at the warning not being heeded.

David Draiman...one of the best male vocalists on the planet imho. He has a tone to his voice I've never heard before. When he sings....you know who it is. He can go from angelic head voice to rasp/distortion on a dime and back....not easy to do. Also did you notice he can put vibrato on the distortion too? VERY difficult to do. Love your take on it !

David was sick with the flu on Conan and 102°fever had to sit on a stool because the band was afraid that he would pass out and fall.The Conan live version is the better version in my opinion. It's so nice to see someone around my age doing these reactions and if they could all do it as amazing as you did we'd be better off. 💯 % HAD TO SUBSCRIBE. David and the guys really out did themselves on this one. Hope you will check out more of their music. They are so totally awesome. AND... if you really listen to the lyrics of their songs...wow such good messages are found in them. And many say Disturbed's songs saved their lives. Their fans are of all ages.. from us old folks, to the children of we older folks.. and their children ... if you watch any of the concert videos you will see what I mean... thank you for your reaction. Love me some Disturbed!!!

My favourite version of this song, not a fan of heavy metal but love when they do this kind of song, Hold On To Memories is my other one I love by them. My favourite group/ band is Home Free, have you heard them, an acappella group of five wonderful singers one of them the best beatboxer, please give them a listen, you won't be disappointed. Most start with Man of Constant Sorrow, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Great song, glad you enjoyed it. To me, this and Johnny Cash's "Hurt" have to be two of the best covers ever. Both the original and the cover are great and are nearly different songs. I'm new here, but noticed you like watching live performances. One of the best live performances I've seen on KZfaq is the Big Push's medley of "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop." They have several posted videos from that day of busking on a street in Brighton, UK last year. (Including a fantastic Black Sabbath medley titled "War Pigs" that adds a touch of Rage Against the Machine). The band has split up because the lead singer, Ren, has been overseas getting medical treatment. Ren is a truly unique artist that is worth your reaction time if you're inclined. He touches almost every genre of music - rock, hip hop, reggae, folk, dance, ballads, etc. "Hi Ren" is a great introduction to his songwriting and diverse sonics.

I enjoyed your reaction. You need to add a couple more covers to your experience. After Disturbed, do Pentatonix, then Geoff Castalucci low bass cover. Simon & Garfunkle - a polite warning Disturbed - angry because you did not heed the warning Pentatonix - the funeral Geoff - the requiem at the wake after the funeral

Just came across your reaction to Disturbed and subscribed after watching it and scrolling the list of your previous reactions. Definitely plan to watch many of them. I’m recommending another Disturbed video that was released yesterday. David Draiman and Ann Wilson of Heart sing together on Don’t Tell Me, a song Draiman wrote after his marriage fell apart. Disturbed’s released it as a single when their new album came out last year. Original video was just an upside down sword floating in the air? This new one is terrific.

If you like listening to people do covers, please check out Dan Vasc. He is phenomenal. He can sing everything from opera to metal. I think his most popular one is Amazing Grace. However, his performances of Nessun Dorma by Puccini; Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar; and The Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden are my personal favorites.

Check out Angelina Jordan. Her fans will fill you in on hr story after your 1st reaction. You could start with I Put A Spell On You (B&W version), Bohemian Rhapsody (AGT), Suspicious Minds. She honors the original but makes each cover her own.
