Jacob Brain - Very sadly, you are 110% correct. This album deserves, imo, to win Album of the Year. It really does sum up the state of the world right now and everyone should listen to this album. Too many people, unfortunately, living either with their heads in the sand or just could care less. But they will, because the frightening reality is, things "are" only going to continue to get worse. Wonder what those dislike button clickers will think then, when it's "really" too late. EXCELLENT job David Draiman did with this album, and that voice!!

The difference is David is making music while being genuinely happy. He released all his demons in his earlier work. So of course the darkness is really dimishing but he still manages to stay intense and present and very relevant.

He's a great vocalist but man that's reaching for the stars with that comparison, there are so many more talented than him. Just off the top of my head Russell Allen of Symphony X comes to mind. His range is unbelievable and he can sing literally anything.

the first time i heard him talk was a concert, had never seen his face before, and only heard him singing. i was very surprised hearing his normal talking voice and then switching over to how he sings. didnt even think it was the same dude at first.

What was Sound Of Silence? still love Disturbed and do not care that people think lack of heaviness vs record sales determines weather a band has sold out. Bands change styles get over it, You can always move on if they no longer stick to a sound they played in the early 2000's. I mean listen to Shinedowns new album are you going to say they sold out too. What about Black Stone cherry changing to more blues sound? Just because songs are more accessible does not make them sell outs. You ask disturbed what their influences are and they are not going to tell you it is a bunch of early 2000's nu metal / hard rock crossover bands. An actor can change what style of films they do so why can a band not?

@@fenderg1988 Lack of heaviness combined with a spike in sales IS selling out. The reason they changed is to MAKE themselves more accessible and thereby earn more money! Shinedown absolutely sold out on the last two albums making very simple songs that aren't too heavy and are easy to market. An actor and musician have fuck-all in common. An actor is a person playing a role, and they choose whatever role they like best or think they are suited for. A band, especially a metal band, is much more personal. The artist has to create their own material, and abandoning the hard rock genre for some mallcore trash is selling out. I don't expect a mainstream music fan to understand that particularly well.

I think that Davi Draiman has this really good voice that makes it hard for me to understand how much his music has inspired me. My heart for Disturbed was found by my Father which he has 3 tapes of Disturbed and I couldn’t be anymore happy that David Draiman made this band and I think all the people who listen to Disturbed would say the same. So Rock on 🤘

Im in Tallahassee. Fl. It was pretty bad but nowhere near the worst. Mexico Beach, East Point and St. George Island all need help. Entire small citys have been wiped off the face of the earth.

That is my favorite Disturbed song and that is a hard thing to say because i love so many of there song's but over the past few weeks i gave a space in my mind room to breath to ultimately give me a solid answer on , in my opinion there best song. This one for some reason , the way it's put together , the rift , the intro is no bullshit it's right to the point , just the entire song feels like it's alive , (many of there songs feel alive even the I'm alive song haha but this one really is an 11/10. The best one's lie is really damn good , top 10 for me now. There new album will have a few less heavy song's but as long as it has depth that could prove to be more heavy than the best one's lie , if you follow my meaning.

Politics has been a large theme in Disturbed music for a LONG time. If you can't interpret the lyrics, you haven't actually listened to Disturbed enough to understand their common themes.... Go back and listen to a bunch. It isn't hard to find ones related to politics. This song is no different. This is CLEARLY about politicians and how they never see the other side or ever come to the table to try and understand and always LIE. There's no moderates anymore. Everyone is so tribal, it is quite disappointing.

Disturbed has never let their fans down and they will always find a way to amaze us. They are one of the bands that inspired me to become a musician and gave me the that same inspiration to join my friend's band. I love this music and I love performing it.
