These aren't necessarily bad smells, but the perfume shops in Italy and France are overwhelming. As soon as you walk into either store, your nose is under a chemical assault and by the time you leave your nose is burning and your eyes are watering.

The handles on Splash Mountain. They smell like sweat, mold, and rubber that has been festering for decades in the hot sun. I cried once when I was a little kid because they made my hands smell so bad. Now I won't even touch them.

I've always said the monorail smells like a giant catbox!

A couple of years ago my husband and I were in a very long queue for Peter Pan - one of my favorites which we hadn’t gotten a FP for - and there was a group behind us who were incredibly pungent to say the least.... During the 45 minute plus wait we ended up befriending a lovely woman from South America who wanted to practice her English and was a solo traveler. Turns out she was also bothered by the smell; so we encouraged her to become part of our party for the remainder of the queue and we ended up all riding together! This is the only happy ending type story I can come up with that began because of a whole group of folks who really needed Ryno’s freshening up tips 😉

I think that Pee smell that everyone is referring to on the monorail is the electronics from the track and the rail itself. You get the same smell on subways and metros

Honestly as a car guy I love the smell of the speedway.

The odor that really gets to me at Disney World is the fog effects. I don't know what kind of fog fluid they use to achieve that stench.

Women with very strong overwhelming perfume poured on in the hot humid heat right next to you on line.

Try being a 5ft nothing person jammed in between tall smelly people at arm pit level! The best thing I always carry is flushable wet wipes. They even sell them at Disney in cute Minnie/Mikey packets. Use to wipe yourselves and your kids. It's cooling, refreshing and eco friendly. I even had a lady in the Small World que ask me for some once. My husband (who's been a rock drummer for decades) has me carry a small can of spray powder for him. He also uses one of those sport cooling scarves.

I feel like Florida in particular has a weird 'outside' smell. Like sweat and phosphate.

I'm with Craig I love the smell of race cars. Club cool sticks to me and the floor is sticky enough if your not careful it will take your shoes off your feet.

For me it was the chili dog smell from the abomination Stitch’s Great Escape. Oh my lord I can still smell it and I haven’t been in that show room in about 5 or 10 years. And yes the tunnel to fronteirland and Adventureland is the absolute worst too.

You guys missed the absolute WORST smell on property: The entire Little Mermaid show building at Hollywood Studios. It’s a show with mist, water, and bubbles in a carpet theater. The mildew smell in that building is real. Love you guys!!

One that no one ever talks about: The Oasis at Animal Kingdom. It smells like duck and/or parrot poop, amplified by the water in the exhibits.

Mission Space ride compartments. Unsure if they've all been vomitted in or if subconsciously I just miss Horizons...

Completely agree with Craig about Cape May. Just got back from a trip and we stayed at BCV. The seafood smell just lingers all day.

I have so much pity for the cast members who work in the Innoventions walkway and Mousegears area. Their nostrils must be burnt from the diaper smuggler/sewer scent.

If you mash all these smells together you are about half way to the stench that is the Utilidor!

You guys talked about the Land pavilion in your best smells video, but I can't stand it in there. I don't know how else to describe it other than bad salami when I walk in. Like, old finger food with a bit of sweat mixed in. I wish I could somehow convince myself to smell things differently. P.S. It was awesome meeting you guys at Megacon Orlando!

I think all the Epcot locations mentioned smell because they are all connected to the tunnel that runs across Future World. I worked at Mouse Gear during my College Program, and I distinctly remember the rotting garbage smell of that tunnel. Your descriptions of the smells are spot on. Thanks for another great show!

Magic Kingdom-the Monorail, the Speedway, and Carousel of Progress (old, musty carpet) EPCOT-Innoventions West corridor, Perfume shops in France & Italy, Electric Umbrella (old carpet), Germany Pavilion (sauerkraut) Animal Kingdom-Oasis animal exhibits

There's a section of Epcot in China with the big indoor/outdoor shop where all the traditional clothing is; we like looking at everything, but never stay long because it smells really strongly of musty mildew. It's almost like old clothes that have been left in an attic for years without proper ventilation mixed with the carpeting getting wet and drying out many, many times. Every time it has this odor.. as though crowds walked through after it rained combined with the effects of high humidity on fabric. It's too bad, because there's some nice stuff in there.

I used the monorail this past April and never had any bad smells while using it. Could be the crowds were low as well as the humidity.

Love this episode! I'm not sure how often you guys walk between the Epcot area hotels and Hollywood Studios but underneath the bridge and along that walkway it smells like boiled eggs and manure. I basically have to run and hold my breath every time. Haha

The rotten laundry smell when someone is sweaty and/or rained on, then their shirt dries and they try to wear it a second time. Please bring enough clothes (especially t shirts) to change at least once mid-day or before dinner. And for the love of Pete (ha)... I don't care how hot you are... keep your damned shoes on!

yeah, at DL there’s some sort of old crusty sweaty smell that’s at random places, like the Astro Blasters store. Or at POTC when you were coming back around at that last part there used to be some weird crusty smell there. OH then at TL at DL next to the Traders store entrance there used to be this gross maple siropy smell, like wth was that. I remember smelling random Subway too. This was all 2014-15.

My wife and I refer to the Innoventions area as the poop shoot. It's smelled like that for over 20 years.

The odyssey center when it was open for the food and wine festival had a smell. It was weird because it gave me a nostalgic 70’s/80’s disney feel like I stepped back in time but that whole building had a very old dank smell to it and I’m sure and understand that’s from never being updated and closed up for very long periods of time

I've heard the utilidors underneath the Magic Kingdom smell of sewage, according to cast members I know who have worked there.

We noticed the Innoventions Hallway on our first trip two years ago. We thought it was a bathroom that needed cleaning. We thought Mousegears smelled very strong of petroleum....like the old blue Gap bags smelled in the 80’s.

The first "real" restroom (non-portapotty) on any Run Disney course. Like a campground vault toilet on a hot day. It's best to run a bit further to the next one.

The pre-show area of Voyage of the Little Mermaid at DHS. Was just there for the first time and it was a stale urine smell, akin to a NYC subway tunnel.

I'm a big fan of the smell of Dinosaur as you're boarding the ride vehicle. I've always thought it must be the hydraulic fluid or some sort of cleaner they use on the ride, since large hydraulic actuators are used to give each vehicle the rocking/tilting motion.

Thought of a video idea for you guys (if it doesn't exist already). I'm getting married at the Disney boardwalk this October and have been debating with myself what the most magical transportation to the magic kingdom for my not-so-disney obsessed friends would be (many who have never been there), monorail or ferry boat? Would love to hear your input! Love your videos!

Best and worst things to do to avoid crowds. For example, the few times I've been, I would find less of a wait time for attractions while the shows/parades/fireworks were going on, so that would have been my best time to try and get on some of the more popular attractions. Is that still true? I'm sure Spring Break would be a worst time to plan a trip, is there even a best time anymore? Is there a peak time of day that I should just go back to the hotel for a nap or a swim, and go back to the park later? Is there a day of the week that is typically a little slower? Like, if I go to the MK, during the school year, on a Monday morning, would that be any less crowded than a Saturday? I really hate crowds, but I do want to experience Disney every once in a while.

The smell in Innoventions, Club Cool, Mouse Gear, etc is probably from the utilidors underneath.

Interesting comments on the "people smell". I bring a change of clothes for mid-day in the car...very easy when we park hop but in general it makes everyone, including the kids (who generally don't care).feel better. My husband bought a shirt once just to freshen up because he forgot his change of clothes. Also, he hates the smell of Space Mountain. To the point he won't ride it.

Speedway is the worst for sure. I can deal with B.O. but I literally can't breathe when I get too close to that Speedway.

For me - if it is a smell I associate with Disney - it's a happy smell. I try not to smell the humanity around me however. And some of the bathrooms are just gross. I do carry all kinds of wet wipes with me though...

I was at Pop Century last month and smelled what could only be explained as wet dog. I believe it was the bushes, because I smelled it again on my walk from HS to the Boardwalk, and the same kind of bushes were along that path.

Yeah, the horse smell is strong the entire time you’re waiting for the busses at Ft Wilderness. A major design flaw.

Idk if Disney world Star Tours has this problem, but there is a smell to Star Tours at Disneyland. As soon as you walk in the building it smells of hydraulic fluid like an old elevator. The Indiana Jones queue has a kind of sulfur smell, idk if it's from the gas used for the fire effects, or the jungle cruise next door.

The worst smell in Epcot is gone!!! The breezeway behind Club Cool (Coke which used to be Ice Station Cool) smells so fresh and sterile now. It used to smell like rotten candy that someone puked mixed with a nasty baby diaper. But now not a whiff of bad scent is left! It looks to be like the carpet may have been replaced, if not they finally did a much needed detailed cleaning.

I found Ryno's comment about him using spray funny. It used to be, that when you went to a rock concert, all you'd smell was the pot being smoked - Lately they just have that terrible smell of Axe Body Spray. Do young men think that girls really like that smell?
