YES! You can succeed in painting Sunflowers! I used three shades of yellow and some orange, plus pthalo blue to create the greens, and I didn’t even draw the flowers first! If you need a sketch to work from, you can find my own drawing free to download on our website.

About my brushes
I have always bought my favorite brushes from Drawell direct from Japan. They are handmade in Japan. Drawell will ship readily to anywhere in the world. I use the liner and larger brushes in this set all the time. Especially the cats tongue. Thank you for the video and the brush set. The colors are really nice in this set-vibrant, but i have enough paint for a lifetime.

I think what you painted is very cheerful and beautiful. I have a hard time with sunflowers, always trying to get it "perfect". Thank you for sharing your process with the loose interpretation.

Nice to find another brand similar to Kuretaki. I have learned so much from you. On a whim... I tried my Kuretaki brand on regular white mailing envelopes and small brown paper bags. Absolute fun. I do know I still need to spray a light clear coat on all of them to prevent re-activation of the paint. Thank you for all the knowledge abd encouragement. ❤❤❤

If your painting skills have failed you, then I might as well find a little teeny tiny coffin and lay my brush to rest! I love this and will be trying it....I've saved it for next project. We used to have a whole side yard full of huge multicolored sunflowers, a real showstopper causing car wrecks left and right :O. Thanks so much for sharing this delightful piece of art! :)

Sunflowers are growing everywhere in my yard. Not close to budding yet but getting there. Very windy here so not trying to paint outside but will eventually. Loved the ride down your road. Bumpy like mine. ❤

As lovely as you are, Diane! I don’t think this one needs any ink…but I’m just 7 months into wc painting. My first painting was a sunflower, for Mom’s Christmas gift. Get this, done on canvas covered board, hahaha! I don’t know how I ever got it done! Ty for teaching us all and showing us the essential ropes for creating beautiful artworks! 💜🌻👩🏼‍🎨

My 344 th. A really dynamic paintershand today. Like the proces and the outcome too. The paints are quite opaque. You use this quality very well in adding layers. Certainly this painting is painted with fun 😊 Wim

Ooh. Your brush set looks fabulous. I've only got brave enough to use my liner brush the last two days and I'm kicking myself for not using them before!! I love your loose florals. I think these are second to the poppies from earlier this week. The paints look beautiful. If I wasn't currently moving house I'd give into temptation for both the brushes and the paints!
