There are lore duels in the solo mode... but they are so few T.T They had some good ideas though, like making you play World Chalice without Ib when she's supposed to be kidnapped by the Mekk-Knights, or the Vendread mirrors where you play a Slayer-centric decks VS a Battlelord centric deck. Wish there was a lot more...

@pvzbronygodgaming8476 That'd be awesome! I'm actually the one working on the rush gauntlet, and yeah, I'm mostly just waiting on Mika to make Rush cards compatible with the client. They said they were going to do it eventually, but that it wasn't the main priority right now. Still, I'm hyped for when it does happen!

Even though this was insanely one-sided and could be much more balanced, it was so fun to watch still. Danny is so fun. I loved every single one of his impressions. I hope to see more of this!

I going to say this, while it was funny to watch this, it was also somewhat equally as frustrating to watch as Danny only got bad cards to used while MBT kept getting very powerful cards. Like, it barely a challenge for MBT as he was able to breeze those duel. I feel like Danny show have gotten some free "DM rules" that he could have during each duel to at least make a challenge for MBT.

If there's one thing I learned from my Pathfinder days, it's that your DM needs to have some formidable stuff to work with, otherwise the player characters are just going to roll over anything close to "balanced" by either exploiting the system or getting stupidly lucky. I once got away with climbing an acidic abomination and crippling its center mass just because I got some crazy skill checks and CON rolls the DM was unwilling to ignore because of how entertaining that fit of madness I pulled was(at least one Nat 20 was among them so that helped matters along a bit). Honestly with decks this bad you might as well just let the DM topdeck whatever seems most interesting at the time(or give them half their deck in their hand like in Forbidden Memories), they can always just start throwing games if the challenger is on their last life at less than halfway through the campaign or something. If the challenger is just going to be given every broken thing in the game that's the least they could do to make things more "even".

The Domain Effects probably should have been one sided in the dm's favor. The Flamvell one could have been an always active Molten Destruction for example.

1. The player is supposed to win and the DM lose. 2. This was recorded a while earlier. The developer of this campaign asked MBT to not release this. Probably because they were working on a now updated version of this campaign where the DM can play hard versions of their decks. The DM also has unique items they get to use, just like the player does.

Yes, I just double-checked. "Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" is indeed a Dragon type monster, as opposed to "Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon" which is a Wyrm instead or "Masquerade the Blazing Dragon" which is a Fiend instead. I understand Danny's confusion.

Wyrm and Sea Serpent are essentially splits off of the Dragon typing because they KNEW they were shoving too many things into there. The literal translation for Sea Serpent in the OCG is "Sea Dragon". And Wyrms tend to be the Dragons most closely associated with the Chinese Mythological ones. Non-Dragon Dragons have been a thing since like Barrel Dragon, which is a Dark Machine along with the other offshoots of that group like Gatling Dragon. Even Vrains era had that Cracking Dragon thing to continue the Mecha Dragon trend despite the Rokket Borrels essentially being mechanized Dragons themselves probably influenced by the old Bandit Keith designs(even down to Revolver getting his Vrains handle censored into "Varis" similar to how Revolver Dragon got its name changed to "Barrel" Dragon in English specifically). Also can add to that list the Topologic Bomber and Gumblar "Dragons" that are actually Cyberse monsters.

I think it's fine, like when MBT didnt have his good backrow cards it was a pretty even game, but obviously the player has access to waaaay too good cards. Like by the time the 2nd duel comes along you have basically a whole tier above in generic staples to choose from.

Ran this with my partner. She basically completely avoided the worm cards and had literally none of them by the end. I ended up using the GM powers they talk about to declare 'All non-dark cards count as light for the final duel' to make it at all fun and interesting

my run was wildly different. I was worms and opened unplayable into insane hand So I got out of flamvell riding the seat of my pants, got lucky enough to open good cards against brionac and take my first dub, lost to gungnir, lost to X-Saber Gottoms, Beat XX sabers because my deck was actually coming together now, pretty much instantly destroyed Clausolas as they could not beat xex + meteorite x2, then spent 37 long turns grinding into the endless conga line assembled by mist valley lord guy barely eeking out a dub thanks to my alien package, as I managed to spread a bunch of "A" counters, use alien brainwashing to steal 2k beat stick, and started using it to loop vanity's emptiness. after that hellhole I literally couldn't stop laughing for like thirty minutes as my opponent opened all his controllers plus undine and unexpected dai. then in the final showdown woth Ally of Justice, I opened graceful charity into pot of greed into xex (with yagan in gy), vanity's, heavy storm, amd a bunch of aliens. I normal'd the xex sent a second yagan, got cycle readered for my life savings, and was subject to the token gimmick so much, it looked like my wincon would be he deck out soon. The last two turns involved me wiping the whole board of tokens with dark hole as my whole hand was lights and they were a single tuner away from decisive armor, then I followed up by activating future fusion and setting defensive backrow. on the last turn, I revealed Worm Zero and binned all 5 of my remaining worms, and watching as deckout forced me to win without the funny.

When it comes to the early Duel Terminal cards, I sometimes find myself recoiling slightly at the names because I spent many hours playing Stardust Accelerator and it had different translations than what would later be the official ones. "Jetelikpse? Nah, you must mean Jeetrikups." Though "Flamvell Poun" genuinely kinda baffles me, the old translation of "Flamvell Pawn" just feels better.
