She could have kept an eye on the turtle while you built a time machine out of the trash you collected so you could go back in time and stopped that fishing line from getting on that turtle. Or you could have unalived the fishermen that left it in the water... or, or you could have went aaaaalll the way back and stopped plastic from being invented... somehow. I'd start with George Bailey's friend in It's a wonderful life. He got in on the ground floor of plastics if I recall correctly.
