Thank you Bhante. Interested topic that has given me lots of dukkha in past years. good simili with the ladder rungs... Work has unfortunately permeated every corner of our existence in the western world at least. When one spends one's whole adult life working and thinking of work, then it's very difficult to let that all go for good. One has to rehash the value of it, discern ( pajanati ) it , see it for what it really is. Only then it is possible to put the burden down. Sometimes this means also severing relationships which keep you prisoner on the dread mill and are perpetuating what you actually want to let go in order to get to a higher rung of the ladder. Thank you🙏
