Greeting,
In this video, I will show you how to make a surface in Dynamo and how to divide that surface into points based on the U and V numbers (Number of columns and rows) that can be used as adaptive components. the script I am showing you here will provide us with a quad set of points and also a flattened list of points that can also be used to place any family at each point.

Hi dear Friday, in this specific video I am not targeting applying with adaptive components, but rather changing the matrix of points from normal list to quad list, in order to prepare the surface to cladded with AC, See below link kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hdGCqa2L2qmqiHk.html Also remember and distinguish between ac and curtain systems as you are not making the last but instead you are adding adaptive speared components that not generate eventually a unifies curtain system, the last have different approaches a d different dynamo tools

You got to select the surface first then refine the algorithm to work on the uv of that surface

Hi. If I open a round hole in the midlle of that rectangular surface, the nodes will recognize it?

Hi dear, for this specific script , no, but you can isolate those points inside the the circle and then make the script apply successfully

Are you sure this will work same for other shapes than rectangle?

I designed this node to work on a rectangle, and to express how you can deal with list to make qaud set of points fit for adaptive components, you can see or try by yourself if you can apply it on other shapes Cheers
