Dividing Daylilies - Family Plot

2 жыл бұрынEvery 3-5 years daylilies need to be divided to keep them becoming overcrowded. Joellen Dimond, Director of Landscape at the University of Memphis, shows how to do it. After removing the plant from the ground, she shows how to cut through the root ball from the top with a digging fork or a shovel. She then replants the two daylilies back into the ground.

I just left in the ground and forked half out to thin mine and it worked fine. They are very hardy!

I use a knife to separate my lilies that are overgrown.

Why not just use a spade.
