I did not make this song, all credit goes to Divine Heresy and their producers.
LYRICS:
Lacerate incision
Peel the skin inner-self
Tear the folds down to bone
Stripping to reveal stone
Modified now presides
Transitions of body and mind
Plant this seed well within
Roots beyond injunction
Break free
Free from your control
Sever the stem
Torn from this state of
Beckoning end
Reinventing all
Once come undone in me
To set my essence
Free of your control
Squeezing blood from stone
Repression undone
Now and forever
Remerge - second birth
Free of this chrysalis
Shedding skin, spread new wings
Complete metamorphosis
Break free
Free from your control
Sever the stem
Torn from this state of
Beckoning end
Reinventing all
Once come undone in me
To set my essence
Free of your control
Squeezing blood from stone
Repression undone
Now and forever
Sever the stem
Torn from this state of
Beckoning end
Reinventing all
Once come undone in me
To set my essence
Free of your control
Squeezing blood from stone
Repression undone
Now and forever

*Dino Cazares* is definitely one of my top influences for picking up the 8-string guitar aside from *Fredrik Thordendal* and *Mårten Hagstrom.*

Turning this into Versus i see... I've been a fan of Meshuggah since 1995 ( saw them live in Stockholm before Machine Head) , same as Fear Factory ( Replica on Headbangers Ball). Meshuggah certainly have their moments i go nuts for, but, Fear Factory and some of the songs from Divine Heresy connects to me more. Dino is a riffmaster not matched by many others, to my ears at least. :)

@DraculusVulgaris Oh but they did. They started in 1989, Played eight string guitars in 2001. So they've made albums when these guys were still forming. Meshuggah is one of the grand daddies. While they may not have invented it they discovered it!

@CHAOTIKProject This is the only song that has an eight string in it. It may have nigh on the same tuning as Meshuggah, But the style of play and the feel of it are two completely different things.

@popshotizbeast The opening riff to this song sounds very similar to Stengah. Just to clarify, I love both bands too, but I could't help notice that.

@junkyardw I know right? Djent has been out for the longest time. It started out with the Nu Metal scene that some guitarists had a tone like the Djent guitarists today.

This Dino/FF/Divine Heresy -VS- Meshuggah fight in the comments is just simply stupid. I know the comments are years old but I have want to say this: Meshuggah has been active since 1987 and they are from Umeå, Sweden. Fear Factory has been active since 1989 and they are from Los Angeles, California. Both bands are pioneers in their own styles of metal and they have been doing their own stuff for years. The are also from the other side of the globe so one ripping off other is unlikely. Fredrik is the riff-brain behind Meshuggah and Dino behind FF/Divine Heresy, they don't need to copy other bands. And anybody calling this a Meshuggah ripoff, Meshuggah does not own low guitar tunings, polyrythms, guitar riffs syncopated with drums or the screaming vocal style. It is their thing but it is also a style many many many other bands use in some degree. Not all low tuned guitar riffs are Meshuggah ripoffs. That is a very close minded way of thinking, in that case any band with tribal stuff in their sound would be a Sepultura ripoff? In metal music there is so much you can do, in the end someone is going to sound similar to someone else and that is completely fine. Plagiarism is a different thing completely and in the case of this song, this is not plagiarism.

Meshuggah ripoff...LOL!!! That is an insult to Meshuggah. Which bit is a Meshuggah ripoff? The singing makes me think of Pantera. The guitarist Dino is no where near as good as the guitarist in Meshuggah. You must be a drummer? Actually the drummer in this band is the most talented member...he is amazing.
